just read a priceless comment on a charlton forum, " barnsley took the lead through woodrow but not sure he meant it"..lol quality
They were and most quite complimentary about us. Their general feeling was a draw was a fair reflection of the game and its hard to really disagree. Best comment I have found so far is the one below. It’s even better than the not sure he meant it one “Finally, the Man in the Middle. When he took a knock & the physio took a close look in his mouth, I was fervently hoping that he might have swallowed his whistle. The Barnsley players, so physical when we were in possession, were oh so lightweight when challenged whilst the ref continued to indulge their "fraility"....Wonder what our management made of it. “ Words fail though I agree with the wish he had swallowed his whistle bit
I heard one of their fans say 'good luck on your relegation battle' on way back to car. Seems they're safe already.
I know we all have a tribal bias towards our own club but even taking that into account this is a crock of sh.t.
Couple of threads on the Charlton forum I noticed and that was a reference to Millwall as Scumwall. For a team so close to Millwall they are chalk and cheese noticeable by the comments on their forum . Charlton come across as knowledgeable and amicable obviously they’ll have their idiots as do all clubs but overall I think their down to earth and havnt got a chip on their shoulders about every body else as their near neighbours do . I havnt based this opinion on this one match mind but over a few years . I don’t mind Charlton as a club in fact it’s a club outside of tarn I like to see do ok imo .
I was disappointed yesterday about the result and felt that we deserved all 3 points. Whilst a point is welcome, it’s just annoying that it wasn’t all 3
I agree but that is one of our weaknesses imho. Every side we play in this league will have a cynical, dark side. Our inexperience means we lack that and it will cost us points.
Not sure it's necessarily related to experience. Wilks certainly demonstrated that against Fulham. Chaplin and Mcgeehan also seem to have a bit of nastiness about them. But I agree we do lack that bit of "gamesmanship" throughout the team.
