Was for telling a vlogger to put her camera away and stop recording. Absolute petulance, especially when there are several Barnsley fans who do it.
Something similar happened at Hull the previous weekend. Hull City: EFL apologises to fan who claimed he was asked to stop texting during game I've a feeling we may hear a lot more about these sort of incidents as the season goes on.
I used to put some barnsley goals on Twitter. Someone from the club rang me and told me if I was to do it again I would be banned from the ground. I believe there are 1 or 2 banned because of this. This is why you dont see goals on twitter any more
Wondered why you had stopped posting em. Shame they were much appreciated by those of us who weren`t at the game.
Shouldn't be filming games anyway. Put ya phone away and enjoy the game. I don't get why anybody feels the need to film themselves at football.
Because people think they have safety in numbers the "I'll do what I want" attitude kicks in. There are rules to abide to when entering a football stadium but sadly some people cannot agree to them. She knows she is in the wrong but is playing the victim.
The problem here is the football league and in particular the likes of sky who are very protective of their expensive TV and internet rights Personally I see nothing wrong with Vlogs like the one this girl does I think they are good for fans whether or not they are at the game- but it is against the rules so match stewards are in a very difficult position if they turn a blind eye. I cant see our Stewards did anything wrong. Even though I dont agree with the rule the girl was breaking it. Dont forget our very own @CelebrityMonkey has had problems in the past and thats just with still photographs Its petty but its the price we fans have to put up with for football selling its soul to the god of TV
It's a similar situation to when folk were blaming VAR for disallowing the Man City/Wolves goals for "handball". It was the stupid, w***y rules that the powers that be have thought up that's the issue, not the people enforcing it(VAR for the goals, and the stewards for the above incident). Giving the stewards stick for doing their job by enforcing a petty(in my opinion) rule is a bit low, in my humble opinion, of course...
Does anyone have one of these vloggers sat around them? I’d like to think we’ve not got any. Proper cringeworthy behaviour. I wouldn’t be into some idiot filming himself with me in the background & recording my conversations. I find the whole idea of going to a sporting event & filming yourself in the ground really strange.
I try to follow the following rules when going to a football match- Go into the stadium and enjoy the game and follow the stadium rules and don't be a dick.
We have a few - Luke at Tykes TV does it. He doesn't film the game just his reactions to the game. Issue with these is they are breaking copyright - been a few issues recently as people have said in this thread.
If you need to enhance the experience by messing about with a mobile phone, then live sport is probably not for you. Personally I find just being at Oakwell to be sufficiently entertaining.
I'm 40, and my view is the same as yours. For people half my age, though, it seems that they haven't experienced something unless they have recorded it.
Once you enter a ground, you're following the rules of the venue. Be lucky you don't have your phone confiscated, let alone be asked to stop filming. And that goes for a Barnsley vlogger too. Film outside the ground or in the public domain by all means. In the ground, do as you're told!
I can think of at least 3 that do it for Barnsley FC. Tykes TV sit in the East Stand near the away end Craigisred? sits upper tier East stand The lad who posts his videos on here i think sits in the Ponty end half way down
A young couple who live opposite me have made a sex tape. Fair enough they may not know about it. Yet.
I go live on Facebook whilst players are coming out, on Saturday it was clear the steward was watching me so I stopped before kick off
