    IDS is, and has always been, completely divorced from the day to day reality for normal working people. You only have to hear him answer questions in a totally dismissive condescending manner. I could add a few expletives but won't lower myself to that and it would be pointless anyway.

    Ahhh the good old Centre for Social Justice.

    Or, as I prefer to call it, the Centre for Rigging Society So That We Who Get The Good Gigs Share Just About Enough So That The Rest Can Do The Donkey Work And Grow Our Wealth For Us

    It's actually a tactic borrowed from the Nazis... create and fund your own research centre which you pretend is independent so you can justify your ideologies.

    Yes, I think that is roughly correct. So if you want 25k a year income for the rest of your life, and you are 60 years old and about to retire, you'd need half a million pounds in your pension pot.
