Assume I can pay on the gate tomorrow night? Meant to go to the box office on Saturday but with one thing or another, I totally forgot and I'm already in Brum (for work)
Just buy online and collect from brum ticket office. Avoids any disappointment. I’m stunned these tickets haven’t gone to be honest. Pricing is fantastic. Probably something to do with sky showing every game on the red button I’d imagine.
We rarely seem to travel well to the West Mids (other than to Villa). There's always loads more demand for similar distance games like Blackpool, Fleetwood, Peterborough.
The main reason is it's a Tuesday night. Requires time off work to get there on time and then back home after midnight. We always take more on a weekend.
Id probably have gone on a Saturday afternoon but on a Tuesday Night its not such a great idea. I did Villa a few years ago for an evening midweek kick off and its a lot to do in an evening.
The red button will make a difference for sure, also midweek and a decent distance. I assume that's the reason the tickets are so cheap.
Not everyone has a bottomless pit of money for football. Giving Birmingham a miss will mean being able to afford an away game that isn't on TV for some.
Do you think anybody has? I certainly haven't but I thought as a club we'd sell a thousand at 15 quid a ticket. Sky has definitely played a part you're right that's one of the reasons I hate them. They're killing football putting all these games on the tv, attendances and the overall match experience is taking a hit as a result.
Where I used to work, we had an Account Manager who worked for nPower who was a season ticket holder at St Andrews. At a meeting once, I was telling him that on a visit to see family in the Midlands, I took a wrong turn and travelled through Erdington. He looked shocked and said I was a "brave man", as many locals considered it to be a " no go area" and would never dream of setting foot in certain areas of the City, especially Erdington. Living where we do whilst acknowledging that we too have problems with drugs use and crime, I believe we can say there are no places in and around Barnsley and it's adjoining conurbation, where we would feel intimidated if we were passing through.
We beat Birmingham 2-0 at St Andrews last time out, 3-0 in 2016, 5-0 in 2012 and 4-0 in the play-offs. If we don't travel well there then we must have some reight results elsewhere.
