We had enough possession, but it was never in areas that were going to cause problems for Birmingham. The fact that we didn't even have a shot on target in the entire match and never looked remotely like scoring is also a worry. Neither does it help when too many of our players were giving the ball to the opposition on numerous occasions.
Bad day at the office. Again.

Yep agree with you there Kev,certain players not treating possession as an important part of play .
I’m all for setting up to defend when we've lost possession but one or two think it’s ok to lose possession because manager has contingency plans .
Possession needs to be cherished more by some of our players instead of casually giving ball away .
No team can hope to keep ball all game but we need to be more incisive in attack when we do have possession and less casual .

I agree Kev. Mowatt aside there are very few players on the team who cherish possession of the ball. Saw a stat that said 65% possession. Birmingham were happy for Diaby and Anderson to pass from side to side, typically after 4 or 5 passes like that we'd launch it to Chaplin who'd lose the aerial duel or play it wide to a full back who'd invariably give the ball away. We missed Woodrow today, for his energy and movement.

Lots of effort but almost no ability or creativity

No lack of effort, but some poor decision making. Classic comments aimed at young players I guess.

Let’s hope home form stays decent or it’s gonna be a struggle.

Passed them off park for 40 mins but with no threat at all. Chaplin too small up top. I don’t think Moore would’ve been the saviour but there we go. Never looked threatening at all tonight. They aren’t a good looking football side firm at the back, play to there strengths.
Ben Williams, all the potential but not championship ready.
Chaplin, better playing off a striker offered nothing.
    Thiam, invisible.
Feel like we need to be more direct in the middle or the park, make others run from our passes.
Disappointed but in no doubt well stay up

**** performers were Chaplin, Thiam & McGeehan

Good performers: the back 4, Radliger & Mowatt

    Bahre & Thomas non entities.

They have better players than us. We'd die to be able to bring on Gardiner as a sub.

Reality check. We need to beat Luton at home,

Thought he had a great game. Caught out once & Anderson covered. Put the best 2 crosses into the box we had all game.

I rate him but thought he should be tucked in for second and shows naivety during game. No doubt of his potential though.
Attacking play or lack of was more worrying tonight

He would have bitten some legs. I walk a 3 year old cavapoo who has more pace than Chaplin or Thiam.

Not big enough to be a centre forward, but Rex has pace to burn. I'd play him out wide. Would run havoc, but shi!ts everywhere. Would have cocked his leg up on the Birmingham goalposts in the first minute, earning a yellow card, but would have struck more fear in the Brum defence than we did all night.
