Our best and most consistent player so far this season. Didn’t watch the Sheff United game but no idea why he’s getting pelters after every game.

One of our better players for me tonight. No way was he at fault for the first goal.

Has pretty neat footwork, haven't seen anything to suggest starting him instead of Cavare but what do I know. I think Cavare is above both our current fullbacks to be honest.

Anderson kick started the 1st goal with unnecessary pissing about.

But also sibbick got beat too easily. But the point is it shouldn't have turned into a Brum attack to start with

I think he looks ‘ok’ because he isn’t offering us anything. He’s playing safe which is understandable been new to this league but our style of play & the modern way full backs play is to give you options going forward & he’s not doing that. Hopefully we’ll see more of him on the ball as he gets more confident at this level

I agree. I did watch the Sheffield United game and from what I have seen of him so far I think he's done quite well.

I don’t think he’s good enough but he bloody tries and will get better.

I’ve said in another thread that I’d replace him in the side with cavare. He offers little on the ball and seems to get a nose bleed if he gets too far forward.

I don’t think he deserves all of the pelters he gets though, he’s relatively solid and does ok defensively (he should have done better for the first tonight), but ‘best’ and ‘most consistent’?

Really? He’s been our best player?

Not close to that in my view. I think both centre backs and the goalkeeper stand out more than him. I also think that Wilks’ contribution is undervalued. I read someone say he’d been crap as he’d contributed no goals or assists. He does get and retain the ball in advanced areas though, engages defenders and draws more fouls than anyone we’ve had in recent times too. He will win us free kicks in dangerous areas - and - dare I say it, penalties too. He will also eventually get goals and assists, but it’s not just about that. He’s surprised me with how many headers and physical battles he wins. We missed him tonight. I know he came on - but the damage was done.

Only watched second half. Never completed a pass forwards that I can remember. He along with too many of our players are too careless with the ball

The pre season friendly. Thought you’d blocked me, treacle?

I want Sibbick rested and Cavare brought in.

Sibbick offered nothing going forward yesterday, he was too tentative, whereas Cavare will bomb forward on occasions scattering defenders, giving the whole team some urgency.

And for their first goal, Sibbick was easily dominated and outjumped by their player.
