    What a brilliant pub.
Loads of BFC memorabilia - a real BFC supporters club.
Spacious - excellent prices for beer etc.
    Landlords 100% + Reds - very knowledgeable.
    Well worth a visit!
    (I was there last night)

Do they do real ale or craft beer? Not really worth going if not.

Not really worth going for you.
The majority of people just like a good atmosphere and a laugh and the manx ticks those boxes.

Surely you mean not worth going in for you?
Your post makes it sound like a general statement that it's not worth going in for anyone.

I just call it beer. If the beer tastes of something I like, I'm likely to stay in that pub/ tap room. If they sell fizzy alcohol that doesn't taste of anything, I'll gladly leave it be for others to frequent.

For some snobbish reason, I quite like food that tastes nice too. Weird that.

So someone who eats to their taste and drinks to their taste is a snob? That's a very random view. Is it not allowed to enjoy yourself while drinking and eating something you enjoy? Or do all have to feed on gruel and bilge water without exception?

Are you on glue? You’ve just used the word snob to describe your eating habits then got offended. Must have been a long day il let you get on with it. A very random view indeed

My use was ironic to highlight that its far from ironic to eat and drink stuff you like. But hey, if your pritt sticks are blurring your thought patterns, i'll leave you quaff something in lower fleabottom. ;-)

It's not snobbish to eat and drink things that you like. Difficult as it may be to believe, there are places out there that are picky about what they serve (maybe just because they're run by snobs?) and still manage to give people the opportunity to enjoy themselves.

A pub surely has got to be at least in part judged by the quality and range of beers. If the beers are ***** then the pub therefore isn't decent, it's possibly *****. The decency of the people who frequent the boozer is of course important and they might mitigate the shiteness of the pub to an extent but don't make the pub itself decent. The best pubs are the ones with both decent folk and good beer at fair prices.
