10p train tickets (5p for kids) to Nottingham on 21st Sept (plus other times and routes)

    Northern Rail have a sale on at the moment where you can get tickets for 10p on selected lines and times in September. Husband and I have just booked Leeds to York on 1st Sept and Leeds to Meadowhall on 8th Sept, both cost 40p return for 2 adults.

    There aren't as many cheap ones from Barnsley but they do have some to Nottingham on 21st Sept ;) You just have to keep going forward and back through the train times to find the 20p ones. If you feel like leaving Barnsley at 6:20am that is one of the 10p outbound tickets, as is 5:23am. The latest one after than gets you in at 2:58pm which is frustrating.

    Just booked York to Blackpool as well for 40p return for me wife and kids to go see illuminations and fireworks! I love a bargain me!

    I was considering the Blackpool one too but I wasn’t sure if anything was open in September.

    We've just booked to go now! Didn't realise lights started that early in the year, can't say no at 40p!

    Just got 5 from Sheffield for ‘Forest away! Out at 7am and return at 10pm - all the other key times had gone.

    Only paid a quid!
