You're right it's very ridiculous. And all listed events have occurred on this bulletin board since Saturday.
You are responding as though I was calling you out personally when in fact I was replying to someone else and the post was clearly a general one aimed at certain fans.

    I'm not worried Old Gimmer.
I'll be at Wigan cheering the boys on.
    You?

You are clearly a proper fan Tintwistle. Enjoy it, and be assured that I’m rooting for you to be right. Although it sounds like it won’t make any difference to you No seriously, all the best.

I just support the club and have done since I was barely tall enough to see over the hoardings of the Brewery stand.
You say rooting for me to be right but I've not predicted anything.
I have only stated that many have spent the weekend on a forum going over board after a disappointing performance.
But I think you're right and our discussion has run its course.
And that's all that it is.
I wish you a healthy and prosperous week ahead.

It’s the manner how we are losing that’s concerning. We are conceding 2 goals per game Fulham aside and in 5 games we have scored 4 goals. Unless there’s some dramatic turnaround we do appear to be in a spot of bother.

I agree it's not been the best of starts.
But I think we should back the club the players and management as anything else is just weird.

I've just about calmed down since Saturday's performance and result! We're only 5 games in but Fulham aside what we've seen on the pitch should give some cause for concern. I won't go on in detail again about my thoughts on the owners thus far but just to say I'm extremely underwhelmed.
Let's give it another 5-7 matches and then re-asess where we're at. 12 league matches should be a good marker of whether we're in big trouble or not. I will certainly be getting behind these young lads over the next few games and hopefully they can start to deliver the results we all want. 3 points at the DW stadium would be a huge boost for everyone before the international break.

I think the main question is why did these players want to leave a club with billionaire owners if the plan is so fantastic? I'd have thought they might think if I stay and with good additions to the squad we can really achieve something.

Someone is telling porkies somewhere. Especially if players leave for Brentford and Wigan due to ambition.

They’re not leaving due to ambition, they left for cash.
It really is a shame we couldn’t afford to keep Pinnock, but Moore in particular had been here longer than he’s been anywhere, to blame our club when we are seen as a stepping stone by a player is somewhat baffling.

Life decisions on this scale are a gamble for all concerned; it’s a shame we lost out - by the same token though, Davies hasn’t exactly ‘won’ though the wages will compensate.

I think we got a better keeper cheaper, we clearly failed to get a better striker and possibly our defensive first choices too.

Does that mean the plan is wrong (not a good enough contingency)? We’ll know in May.

Because we are spending what we earn no more or less the owners aren’t putting anything additional in. Hence why any club that offers higher wages players will leave.

Answers to those... Ruthlessly dismantled? Hardly to that scale in any way..

No proof that the side has been weakened. Said it a few mins on another thread. Replaced 3 players with poor championship form..
As for league 1, yes the standard we saw last year in league was was poor. Plus we were not immune to making mistakes that year, just that the opposition were far poorer.

For me we have probably adequately replaced Davies, Pinnock and Lindsey. I don't have a problem with those outgoings and their replacements.
On the other hand it's criminal that we didn't line up a 'plug and play' replacement for Moore before we let him join Wigan. Woodrow's injury has obviously compounded this error. To be starting games without a recognised striker in the side in August is a bit worrying.
The biggest mistake for me though was to not strengthen the engine room of the side, the midfield. We all know that this where games are won and lost at Championship level. To go with what we had was a massive risk. We're crying out for a leader and also a bit of creativity. I honestly thought that Butterfield was probably past his best but after Saturday I wish he was playing for us.

Time will tell MDG. Hope you are right. I don’t think a Lindsay/Pinnock partnership would be leaking goals so easily. May be an understanding issue?
Even if I put on the rosiest of rose coloured glasses I can’t see us being adequate for the championship up front. Of course we haven’t seen some of the signings yet, but I can only judge on what I’ve seen so far.
I’m not writing us off by any means. Just expressing concerns about the season and the experimental nature of our strategy.

If you chop and change all the time you can't get any continuity. I'd pick a team now and try and settle on that team for a few games even if we get beat.
