Yet Bolton get yet another stay of execution.
    The EFL are a disgrace,

This should not have been allowed to happen and it needs investigating and charges brought to the persons responsible, its not just a business thats gone bust its a big part of the community, history, social value, jobs and small businesses, a big part of peoples lives thrown away by incompetence and corruption.

Thank God its not us, thank god for Patrick Cryne and for our new owners who hopefuly will never let this happen to us. Im really angry about this and feel sp sorry for the true Bury supporters.

Maybe I’m being a little slow but I don’t understand why the owner would refuse to sell? (If that’s what happened). Isn’t it in his interests to get something rather than nothing? What does he gain from letting them go under?

I didn't think EFL would have the balls. Bolton have to be worried now.

My mate in the pub is from Bury and a fan. He was saying tonight that the owner stands to gain more if club goes to the wall and he sells everything off. Apparently he is a serial asset stripper.

I believe Steve Dale the owner bought Bury for £1 had all the debt wrote off in a IVA type arrangement and tried to sell the club to make a profit. He had no money to fund the club himself, how and why was he allowed to buy the club, he had previously said that he didnt know Bury had a football club.

He hasn't refused to sell. The historical debt is too much for them to be bailed out. Even after a CVA reduced the debts they are still horrific. It's all down to the previous owners 5 years of spending millions he didn't have and signing players on 3 to 4 year contracts on 4-5 grand a week. High interest loans secured against the stadium and social club has meant debts are insurmountable.

I'd be dancing on their grave if I were a Mansfield/Newport/Forest Green fan.

He was the first person I thought of Ian when I saw the breaking news. Its truly awful news, a damming indictment on all of the football authorities, not just the EFL, and serial owners who've taken clubs in this direction. The game as a whole has never been richer, but its soul is as poor as it ever has been as I've known it.

I work with a Bury season ticket holder and I feel genuinely sorry for him and fans like him.

Surely Bolton cannot be allowed to continue now. They have been talking the pi55 far longer than Bury.

Might sound daft but it would be nice if our club could let Bury fans in for the season if they present their Bury season ticket.

Bit of a travel for them but it’s just a nice gesture. I don’t know what i’d do without Barnsley.
