He's there to give the squad experience but there are better options apparently? He's too old and there are younger options? The club exercised option to extend his contract in order to sell him? He's classed as a bad apple by Stendel? The club weren't happy he didn't travel to Plymouth last season? Allegedly he's a liability?

    Take your pick.

None of us know, clearly something has happened behind the scenes but I can't fathom why we wouldn't want our best right back and one of the most experienced players in the squad playing.

Everyone has, apart from the management. Who won't tell us why our best fullback isn't getting a game while we ship goals and pose as much threat from the wings as a squashed apricot...

Have we missed something with Stendel? Sibbick playing at full back. Styles overlooked. Bahre captain. Woodrow injured. Schmidt his like for like replacement overlooked in favour of Halme? Thiam played as a loan striker and Chaplin dropped.

Opposition sides must rejoice when they see Cavare isn't on the team sheet.

Ya didn’t here this from me. He’s had an argument with Stendel in training and grabbed hold of him.

I think I'd grab hold of him too playing Halme up front.

Think it highlights how poor recruitments been if cavare is still deemed our best full back

It’s a weird one & will continue to be until someone reveals what’s going off.

What’s interesting is how loads automatically assume Cavare’s a nutcase based on one head butt against Fulham 18 months ago & believe anything they read about him yet McGeehan can lunge in plenty & square up to opponents but doesn’t get the same treatment.

I’m not suggesting this is stereotyping or anything like that I just find Cavare’s reputation a bit baffling

Wasn’t even a head butt was it? I thought it was a shove in the back? But either way, I agree with you that he seems to have a reputation. Either this is based off the indiscretion we are talking about or some people are “in the know” from training sessions and whatnot.

I’d like to see him back in our team but it’s looking less likely as more time passes.

Players get loads better when you don’t play them. Last season he was a hot and cold attacking right back who flattered to deceive especially in the final third and a reluctance to run back when caught up field. But since we stopped playing him he’s now just gone past Ashley Cole in the full back ratings and if we don’t play him before the international break I am confident we will have the next Carlos Alberto on our hands.

I don't mind not playing him providing we play Jordan Williams instead. Stendel hasn't been doing that though he's been playing Sibbick at right back.
