He will have done OK for himself out of it. I think he has a bright future. He's still a young guy & Nice will be just another stepping stone.
The replies to his tweet from Nice fans seem generally complimentary to him. Mainly thanking him for taking over at a difficult time for the club.
Thought he was an outstanding CEO, what a shame the new owners want to ditch him without seeing how good he is. Would have him here in a heartbeat.
Was it not a strange move for him going there in terms of timescales? Fair enough he was returning to his homeland and probably on a lot more money but there'd already been interest in Nice from Ratliffe and the likelihood was he was going to come back with an offer that would be acceptable to Chien Lee and Conway. Perhaps he was happy knowing it would likely be a short term appointment (he's been there what, 7 months?). Very interested to see where he ends up next but would happily have him back at BFC in some capacity if he wants to stay with Chien and Conway. He's a top bloke.
Simple The front men for the Jim Radcliffe Ineos takeover are Jean-Pierre Rivère and Julien Fournier. Rivere owned the club outright and sold it to Lee Conway a few years ago kept 20 % he sold it as he said he had took the club as far as it could go and needed more investment to take the club to the next level which he couldn't provide Chien promised that and also said they had US and Chinese sponsors lined up he sold his last 20 % to them as part of the original deal last year. Rivere was the owner and club president ,Gayne took over that post club president when they left and Fournier used to be the director of football. they walked out of the club earlier on this year with the club manager in protest to the new owners running of the club. The promised sponsors never materialised, They brought not one commercial sponsor to the club in there time there and last year had a unpaid shirt sponsor as they didn't come up with any sponsors and failed to provide additional funds to back the club which they had promised to do When they left they said they would be back with a new buyer and they found one ,so they are back and have been given there old jobs back. they have already had a little pop at the old owners saying they are looking at available players to buy not investments as Mr Lee referred players as. And said when they were looking for potential new owners of OCG Nice they wanted someone who loved football. it was always the first thing on the list for him to go as he was aligned with the old owners. they hated Chien so there fans obviously hated him as well , there fans referred to him as Chiens lapdog doing his biding whether that's warranted or not guess how it goes with him being there man Kind of surprised he resigned as he had a contract for a couple more years and when asked about a month ago he said he wouldn't be resigning obviously as that would have meant him losing compensation i presume
You misunderstood. I was asking the other fellow why he felt so positively about Ganaye's time as CEO of BFC. I'm genuinely interested.
I’d guess they reached an agreement with him to resign. Unless he has something else lined up already. Best wishes to the guy - genuine person. His wife is Scottish iirc, so wouldn’t be too surprised to see him back in the uk somewhere.
As I’m in a wonderful pub in Kingston, I’ll reply Monday. But in a nutshell, for me, he fell into the category of work horse rather than show pony. I much prefer a ceo to be of the gg ilk and not the bm mould.
