We seem to know wear it whenever we could use our home shirt but choose the 3rd away kit. I prefer it to our home shirt though.

Our home shirt should be worn just at home.

Weve had a 3rd kit for a couple of seasons in the recent past and we've only worn it once or twice. Glad to see this year's being used properly. Home shirts are for home matches

Having a blue away kit means it will not get used for a lit of games

Home kit for home. 2nd or 3rd kit to choose from away from home.

The identity of our team is built around red shirts and white shorts. Why would you dilute that by playing in anything else when you don't have to?

It appears that we’re wearing the third kit whenever the away kit would clash with the opposition. Aka if the opposition plays in blue.

Red at home, blue or white away. Seems logical to me.

As soon as I’m charge of football, that’s gonna be my first rule - home shirts in every match unless there’s an obvious clash of colours. Second rule? Black boots only.

Where did this 'home kit' is for home matches come from? Utter tosh. We play in red shirts with white shorts. We need a second kit if we play away from home against another team that also plays in red shirts. And that's all the change kit is for. The rest of the time we play in the Barnsley kit, the red shirt - not a home kit, just the Barnsley kit. Or that's how it bloody should be.

I don't see any logic at all. We're The Reds. Come On You Reds is the only song that we still sing now from my youth. Everything about the club is Red. Where's the logic in playing in another colour when you don't have to?

I’d agree with that point though I think the third kit is the best one we’ve got!
I do strongly object to forcing Thiam to play in Lloyd Isgrove’s old shorts though.

A change kit was only ever intended for colour clashes. It's ridiculous that clubs are now selling 3 kits to squeeze every last drop of money out of folk.

Nobody is holding a gun to your head to make you buy all 3, or even 1 for that matter. It gives a choice though which to buy, depending on personal choice.
