    Going to be fecking butchery.

I thought I was going to die in the train station on the night Conor's free-kick sent them back to Seacroft - and their Jimmy Savile shrines - with their tails between their legs.

Death might well come to pass this time.

Wouldn't be a problem if the temporary bridge wasn't so rickety. Even one like this would have been an improvement.

Barnsley Council Planning have really messed up (again).
A department that is NOT fit for purpose.
    And hasn’t been for years.

After the Luton match I mentioned something about the situation in the railway station and said I was going to comment about it in another thread.
    Well here it is.

I went through the train station after the Luton match.
    I have a WARNING here.
If the bridge in the railway station remains open during matches this season then people are going to end up on the railway lines.
There is a real danger to life here.
If it kicks off in the train station then people, and it’s usually the innocent, will do anything they can to get out of the way - including jumping onto railway lines.
Don’t tell me this won’t happen - because I’ve been at matches where it has - fans pushed or jumping onto railway lines.

Barnsley Council closing the temporary bridge and the mixing of fans within a close space within the train station have presented AN ABSOLUTE GIFT to the hooli element at Barnsley.
And these guys will have already scoped it out for future matches.

Whoever is responsible for the temporary bridge over this level crossing MUST BE SACKED.

And I’m not just saying this because it’s Leeds.
The problem with Leeds is that there is a lot of them - but some of the smaller clubs in the Championship have far worse fans than what Leeds have.

You don't half talk a lot of hyperbolic crap.

I've had season tickets most of the last 12 years and get a train straight after home matches and I've never seen trouble there even when there have been loads of Leeds, Wednesday, Blades fans, etc.

I don't see how having the railway bridge open after games will result in fans jumping on the rail lines. The bridge is always open after games. Are people now likely to go up onto the bridge and suddenly run down the stairs and jump on the tracks? No.

Maybe you could tell us which matches you've been to where fans have ended up on the railway tracks. Let's have opposition and dates.

If you actually went to the station after home games you'd notice that it has the highest concentration of police anywhere near the ground and is not the likeliest place for any idiots to kick off. It's also covered with CCTV. I reckon at over 20 games a season for at least 8 seasons since 2007 I haven't seen a single incident there. You on the other hand who don't get a train after matches see lots of incidents there that never take place.

Your delusions get worse by the post.

Yet again nudge blame the council. Not the idiots. Wouldn’t happen in any other sport. Do you think the ratepayers should fund a temporary bridge capable of accommodating everyone on a match day. Think they’d argue not. Hold the away fans back 10 minutes as used to happen. (Decision of the club and police) Most home fans will have been given time to avoid the flashpoints by then. But irrespective. the nutjjacks that want to hang around will do regardless. Pity the poor buggers that have to use same trains. But a situation that can’t be avoided barring self preservation. (Eg hanging back an hr or so.) Re the bridge inside the station (if I’ve read the situation right). Then sorry to those it affects. but in this particular match and other high profile games I’d remove access. To avoid your concerns. Also there is plenty online to look at regarding the extensive surveys given to the footfall of the new bridge at all hrs of the day every day. Including matchdays. Maybe you could visit your local councillors surgery. And listen to the arguments for and against. Maybe you may see it in a different light. Slagging folk off is quite easy without redress.
