What the hell happened to Heinz! Had a can of theirs, first time in ages, bland doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Corale beans from Aldi have plenty of sauce in them and are a bit softer. I find Heinz beans to be quite hard. You're right they are bland too.

Are HP any better? Reason I ask is because Heinz tomato sauce and HP Brown sauce are made at the same place.

HP used to be a lot better than Heinz - but I haven't had them for ages so dont know if they have changed the recipe at all

To be honest mate. Heinz ( normal) are my preferred choice but seem to have a different taste today. Morrison's own brand second choice. As for Morrison's tomato products top of the pile for me. Tomato sauce and Tomato juice to die for.

They've reduced the salt and sugar content.

Whilst we're at it, what's happened to Jaffa cakes and chocolate oranges? Tiny. Choclate orange not much bigger than a table tennis ball these days!
Chocolate in general not as nice as it was.

It doesn't work though. Instead of one Mars Bar on a morning I have two. Majority of people know what they're getting into when they decide to treat themselves to a snack.

same as Chocolate Easter Eggs - slight? shrinkage each year and read somewhere that Quality Street boxes will have 7 fewer sweets in them soon.
    Bring back the Gobstopper!!!
And have you noticed if you buy cold drinks with ice it's usually all ice and no drink.

    I blame the Tories!

Branston are a fart sight better than Heinz, but HP are still the best.
The gas is protracted with a good vibrato and allows an excellent upward inflection at the end.

Far too many ingredients / additives banned these days it effects taste.

Had an argument with father in law abroad on holiday once. I had a snickers and said it was much better than in uk and how they used to be. Told me not to be stupid and that they are same everywhere. But they are not, if certain cheaper ingredients can be used in other countries they will use them.

Probably better for us in uk but not as tasty :)
