Interesting that Bielsa can't even be arsed to learn english... Big up to Stendel for doing that. Very complimentary about our performance to be honest. IMHO - we played very well. Traditionally a pesimist - but we play like that for the remainder of the season and I think we'll be ok....
Nothing but praise for the players today, but I'm afraid we will not be OK with what we did there. Concentration and energy levels need to be for 90 minutes + added. We will be punished - even by lesser teams than Leeds. Today, Birmingham and Charlton show what anything less will bring us. We are a willing bunch with a good team ethic, but the squad lacks both experience and strength in depth. Relegation is, I am afraid by far the likeliest prospect.
I thought we tried today, lots of effort, some skill, but when it mattered we went missing. If Leeds has been at it today, it would have been a hiding. But the key thing, aside from a bit of individual brilliance, I just cant see us scoring. Our fall back historically amid the battling has been set pieces. Our delivery is below garbage 90% of the time. I know Leeds are a front runner, but I had a feeling we might cause them problems as we’d be able to counter rather than have high possession stats. But we looked awful going forward, and when a bit of individual skill did come off, finishing and decision making was inadequate. I agree with Dyson, I think this is as good as it gets.
I thought we matched them for 75 minutes. They have three players that earn more than our entire squad twice over. Lots of room to be positive after today. Admittedly I'm pissed, sitting in the Premier Inn in tarn, after a great day out, with some brilliant people. Life is more than football, even though Bill Shankly would disagree.
We've allowed 3 league goals in the first 5 minute and 4 in the last 15. I agree, they need to concentrate for the whole 90+ minutes.
Problem being we have players that aren’t used to playing at this level nor being expected to compete with a top championship side for 90 mins.
Reckon that interpreter is just saying any old bollacks. Bielsa is probably calling everyone a set of cun*s etc and he’s just telling people what they want to hear.
