And after a few pivot tables, a V Lookup, a load of arrays and a big data tableu report I see a direct correlation between not scoring and selling your top scorer. There's also something showing up about starting a Championship season with no players who had ever played at this level not ending well but need a few more rows of data to reach significance. Cheers.
Ahh yes but take a look in the values in the 'potential sale fee' column for each player. =SUM:A7-A27 and it's the best squad we've ever had
Did you go yesterday? We were a joy to watch in large parts of the game and never in a month of Sunday’s did we deserve to lose. I don’t recall a poster with your name posting on here last season either.
In fairness I don't think he's disputing that we played well yesterday. We also played well against Leeds but got nothing because we don't have anyone with the required quality in the final third of the pitch. It's only a joy to watch until we waste that final ball, every time. Then it becomes a chore.
If it's a chore then I think you need to stop going. We got used to winning last season but if we're going to get back to being a stable championship side we wont win the majority of our matches . And that's the reality of supporting any club bar the exceptional few. I want to see effort, attacking play and a feeling that we can win the game even if we do end up losing. For large chunks of my time watching Barnsley I haven't had that so personally I'm appreciating it now. Each to their own.
Unfortunately last season I managed to pick and choose the few games we lost/drew. This is no-ones fault but mine obviously, but it's just been a continuation of that this season - we played well against Leeds and Forest but I'm just sick of coming away from games without even so much as a goal to celebrate despite all our efforts. Guarantee if I don't go for a few games we'll start scoring again!
Where is my slide rule when I need it? I think I was using it for mixing cocktails, come to think of it.
And this is tame, measured & sensible compared to the good old days. All the massive pillocks save it for Twitter seemingly.
