    I never understood the wringing of hands and wailing when we sold him, Pinnock was a slightly above average league one centre back, Lindsay nowhere near as good.

    Like our new players are finding out it takes time to settle in at a new club in most cases.

    Stoke’s probably not the ideal environment to progress his career in the short term either but it’ll certainly have progressed his bank balance.

    Don’t take joy in seeing ex-players struggle / not play, we have a clear strategy of buying cheap & selling for a profit, it’s not like these players joined us & promised to stay here forever is it? Good luck to him except against us.

    I didn’t rate either as Championship defenders, and pleased we got good fees for them. Their opinions of themselves wa greater than their ability.
