Hate to break it to you but brentford paid 8 million for 2 centre backs in the summer that's more than we paid for the whole of our starting 11 today.
Luton have a player on his own in Collins who’ve played as many professional games as our entire squad.
Given that Brentford owner has put over £100million into club if he’s not a billionaire he can’t be far off
All these replies are presumably intended to reinforce the idea that we are indeed out of our depth in this division and can’t possibly hope to compete, therefore making the original question perfectly valid!!
Brentford are a good side and should finish comfortably top half. Their start to the season has put them in a false position relative to the talent in their squad. I don't think Luton will go down either. The Birmingham defeat was the frustrating one for me as they are distinctly average and played awfully for the most part. We need to capitalise on those types of fixtures where despite being a difficult game on paper, a half decent opponent would have snatched 3 points that evening.
Haha we have a billionaire. Yet another halfwit who doesn’t understand the difference between personal wealth and club wealth.
It's their cash for fair enough. So when they decided to take out a loan in the summer despite their vast wealth, will this be repaid out of their own pocket or the budget of the club?
I don’t know Hudders will beat us comfortably and some people will say. Oh it’s because we can’t compete. We did well
Hard to tell every game is different. The Chaplin miss was the turning point. We've been in every game this season. Just that bit of naivety that's cost us. Towards the back end of the first half and for all of the second half Brentford looked like the best side we've played this season. What people have to factor in is that teams will have off days that we wouldn't expect to. That's the reason it's vital to plug on.
