He'd have been first pick at CB now, surely? Possibly team captain?

I’m pretty sure that if an out of contract player wants to leave, you can’t really keep them against their will.

Not rated by Hibs fans.I thought he was decent cover to have but like Donks says you can't keep an out of contract player against there will.

I'd have kept him certainly but I also understood that after being third choice at best for most of his time at Oakwell, a parting of ways seemed to suit everyone. I always liked Jackson and he was pretty unfortunate that Lindsay and Pinnock were so solid last term.

He looked good against Celtic yesterday, helped setup their goal n’all.

Don't think it was a case of letting him, rather him choosing to go being out of contract and not getting many games. Can't blame the club for this one.

At the side of what we played yesterday? Seriously?

I think he'd have been more inclined to stay if we'd told him Pinnock and Lindsay were being cashed in.

I used to cringe when I saw Adam jackson’ name on the team sheet as his presence generally meant confusion and being caught out by any through balls whatsoever. If we were to put our efforts into keeping him (when he was going to be out of contract) then those same efforts could have been put into getting a proper defender. Having said that, the club may have tried getting a proper defender and been rebuked on wages for example. I don’t know, I’m not privy to the goings on within the club.
I don’t want this to sound mean to Jackson as apparently he’s a nice lad.

Admitted he wasn't the finished article, but to me he had enough promise to be developed. But he never got the games to progress, did he? I think he would at least have had more knowledge of the club and the division than the two lads we brought in. Saying that, losing Diaby has been a big blow, I feel.

He was behind two better players and didn't want to play second fiddle so wanted away.

Had he known both would be off he'd probably still be here, although I'm not sure he would be the answer to our problems.
