I think you are in a minority here. The CPS isn't going to bring a case, if there isn't one for ABH. That does not assure a guilty conviction, but given it could be judged as racially motivated in sentencing, IF FOUND GUILTY, given the long string of his offences, it surely must be custodial. He is clearly a danger to the public. Do other football managers need minders in the tunnel on a match day?
PS I'd add, if found guilty, Fleetwood Town should face sanction also from the EFL. Clubs are charged with "failure to control their fans", what about "failure to control their manager"?
No one knows what really happened apart from the people in the tunnel. We are all just speculating because of Bartons previous. None of us were there so we're all guessing really. Do we really want to see a bloke with a young family sent down because of a dust up after a football match ? tbf Daniel looked absolutely fine a few days later. Either it wasn't that bad or he's got the best dentist in England.
A dust up? It’s alleged that he attacked Daniel, from behind and then stood over his body saying take that you German ****. An attack that caused Daniel to lose teeth. The man’s previous is appalling. And just weeks after assaulting Daniel he was on a beach assaulting someone else. He’s a waste of oxygen.
was you? You’re doing worse then Jake is because he’s only repeating what was reported whereas you’re either intentionally fishing or defending a known thug who at the very least couldn’t handle losing so attacked our manager.
No, but the CPS don't bring charges, if there isn't a case to be answered. I really think you've picked the wrong person to defend on the "innocent before guilty" tip. In my post I said it was down to the court. If found guilty how he won't go down would be crazy, with his previous convictions. Would you let off all violent offenders who had a wife & kids?
That's goi Jesus thats proper homework . The bloke is a ***** . I don't think he deserves to go to prison Do you ?
Yes. You can't go round hitting people ( particularly when they're unprepared) because you lose a match or they say something you dont like. He's a cowardly thug, I think the reaction of Cauley and Dimitri immediately afterwards shows that.
Yeah, maybe he just needs a hug and that will straighten him out and make him into a decent human being
He's already been in jail for assault. Has a strong of disciplinary and criminal convictions for violence against his name. In short, yes he does deserve prison. He clearly is a threat to anyone around him and is incapable of modifying his behaviour.
We'll see what happens . I just think Barton is knob head who over reacted . It happens all the time in Sunday morning football but no one rightly goes to prison.
If found guilty he deserves to do time given that he has lots of previous and obviously hasn’t learned anything from previous court appearances.
The hug a thug and everything will get better mentality. The not taking responsibility for your own actions mentality. The idea that assaulting someone and then getting away with it repeatedly is ok.
