I have no idea of the veracity of these rumours, but I would be very very surprised if he has been sacked. Less so if he's walked.
No but what is quite telling is that they have requested an interview with someone higher up than DS to discuss how the club is being run, the recruitment process and other things and have so far been declined. Things have gone very quiet down at Oakwell all of a sudden
Loads. Football management is well paid and if you're dismissed you get a massive pay off. If you have the right temperament, if you can handle the pressure, it's one of the best jobs on the planet. Success or failure and your bank account is overflowing.
Well I would say you are half right he actually said they "expected to" as said above I'm glad they haven't to be honest. Wouldn't call it a lie though I agree.
With the squad we have got I don't think many managers will fancy their chances we have no one able to hold the ball up up front our team is full of kids and our owners will set you up to fail... but yeah it pays well.
Yep nobody heard anything probs cos they are trying to figure out what next before next game. Loans or no loans or change game plan.
I’ll be sad if this is true and it would appear to be so considering there are no journos pouring cold water on it. However, it’s one win in 11, we got smacked by a L2 side in the cup too. If they’ve got rid, the club clearly think someone else can get a tune out of these kids. Never boring is it?
They get paid win lose or draw. There'll be a queue round the block for the position. Not many we want but no shortage of applicants.
Yeah I do think many experienced managers will want to come and work under these and inherit the squad we have. Dale tonges to lose.
Nope. Only Adam Oxley that tweeted saying they were trying to get someone from the club to confirm or deny
I would be staggered if he had been sacked, especially given the long-term nature of what the owners seem to be wanting to pursue. It would be too soon under normal circumstances to sack the manager, never mind given the restrictions he's been placed under and the obvious time it will take to gel several young players together. If he's walked, I'd be disappointed and although I'd understand his frustrations, it would still be too soon surely to lose all hope of things improving. For there to be truth to this there must be more to it, a breakdown of relationship perhaps or something said during contract negotiations. It just seems ridiculous to think he's been sacked and too early for him to lose enough interest to walk.
I took it as they had exclusive (first option) to purchase the ground or half of it inside the 6 months period. after that anybody Council, other businessmen ,investment groups etc could apply to purchase the ground and they could sell it to whoever they wanted.
