We have assistant coaches in Chris Stern and Dale Tonge, an u23 coach in Martin Devaney. An academy manager in Bobby Hassell.

And we give the first team job, temporarily at least, to the u18 coach who we’ve barely heard of.

Whilst at the same time, as well as being complete idiots, being classless and disrespectful to our now former manager.

I don’t think it was necessarily wrong for him to leave as I’m not sure he had any chance of turning things around with this squad - I said as much in my rant Saturday night (I’m not convinced anybody else will either to be fair) - but to behave in this way, it is not what I want Barnsley Football Club to be.

And to see he asked about looking at free agents, when we’ve mostly all been suggesting similar, and he end up leaving straight away? Confirms everything we thought about this ownership regime. Not interested in the team on the pitch - blindly ignoring that you can’t make profit on players nobody will want to buy. A bit of experience alongside them will improve them as players long term too.

Aah well. It’s not gonna happen is it.

If Adam Murray gets the gig permanently I might give up altogether.

I am like everyone else totally gobsmacked
No thanks, no nothing to a guy who has been like a spring of fresh air since he came.
While this board is in charge they can shove it where the sun does not shine
Boycott the next match will hurt their pockets and show solidarity
Fukc them and two of them want to be booking flights back to America . The others I hope they choke on their fukcing noodles

Does James Cryne have any say in this?
Not heard a peep from this Dane feller, is this his first foray?

About as in depth as our transfer policy, extremely unpofessional.
Yet again the suits have underestimated at this level how to conduct yourself properly.
They certainly know how to wind up the stakeholders (the fans)of this proud club though......says quite a lot to me about, how they treat and perceive us as well as our excellent coach.
    Boooooooooo !!

The most depressing list of names ever.

    From Gugenpress to Depressed.

The worst statement I have ever seen from a professional football club.

And Adam Murray?! Surely Tonge at least knows the first team players. Hassell or Devaney may have been a little sweetener to the fans.

I wonder if it’s significant that Dale stopped doing press conferences and there was a falling out there. I presume he’s also gone. I can’t imagine him being happy at being number 2 to the U18 coach

The tone of this announcement is as much a kick in the nuts of the supporters as it is Daniel.
I'm certain that the anger that came in from all directions last night from various forums and chat thingies towards the owners/board will have prompted that terse, cold, heartless statement.
It's like saying "F.uck you, we are in charge, what the hell do you lot know, so get this......"
I bet the office staff at the ground are fuming, they are in the front line of so much hatred, from outside and within.

I wonder if Hassell and Devaney might be involved in any falling out as well - seems weird that Murray has leapfrogged them both

Even if he was just keeping the seat warm for the next few days whilst a new boss comes in, surely it'd make more sense to have Stern and Tonge taking charge of training etc? All I can assume is that things have got heated and both of them are either set to walk or they have been given time off to cool down. God knows.

I assume Stern & Tonge are out the door too. Tonge had been strangely missing from press reports in recent weeks.

I've not understood why Tonge had gone awol to be honest. He's been the main stay of pre match interviews and think he's come across well, been professional ad not been drawn into anything he shouldn't. Stern has done a decent job too, but I'm not sure why the change in pressers.
