I wonder with all this publicity of our fans will make good managers think “I want to manage a club with these sort of fans” tbf I think this will sell us a lot. It shows all we care about is fitting in with the town and commitment. We don’t expect 100 percent potential. We just expect 100 percent commitment.

    Disagree.

I think with how Daniel has been treated by the current board out weighs what reception he’s received tonight. No matter how proud and lovely it is the support he’s received from the fans. Any potential manager will look at the treatment and lack of backing he’s received and think f-that. And you can’t blame them.

it’ll be tough to find the right candidate after this.

Be very tough for whoever comes in next. They will have the same players but non of the goodwill Daniel had. Considering nearly all Barnsley fans think Stendel should still be here it will be hard if we continue to struggle.
Of course things move on quickly, if results improve people will be happy.

If you're an out of work manager a jobs a job, but it's hard to imagine anyone really thinking they can be successful under this ownership.

Everyone will be aware of what's been going on at Oakwell and will either see it as a poisoned chalice or a guaranteed pay off if things don't work out.

The next manager will only interested in what he's being paid. It's their job, they get sacked, they get paid out.

It's about time everyone quit squealing, it's only a game. Managers have good spells and when it drops off, they get sack. Fact.

Daniel Stendel didn't come here because he liked Barnsley as a place or loved the people... He came because the contract suited him. He's not been sat in a B&B crying cos he's missing his family.

Do you think things just 'dropped off' for Stendel then? No other contributing factors

Nah he came here because our board decided his style of football was the most successful and only Guardiola & Klopp are better at it but we couldn’t then because they weren’t avail to us and they haven’t got or want to spend the funds to support him. Just wait till some person you have never heard of gets the job and we get relegated. Before you start to think that our board shafted us.

No not at all, he's definitely lacked support from the board but it's not new to us or football in general is it. It's sad but it's reality

Under normal circumstances I'd agree, but these aren't such.

Stendels been made a scapegoat of the the boards incompetence in the transfer market.

It might be ok for you to take it on the chin and say "that's football", but these people are still in charge, still blindly ploughing the same furrow.

How many times are you going to see managers 'drop off' and keep saying 'it's just football' before the penny drops?

The board haven’t done anything that Cryne didn’t do , the difference being Cryne was a local lad and Ritchie and Robins went with a modicum of humility and professionalism. He’s not done the next Manager/HC any favours with tonight’s antics , he’s professionally gone over the top ( and I know not many will agree with me )

Get off your knees lad. Just because you’re born in Barnsley doesn’t mean you should just accept what’s thrown at you. Show a bit of balls. Others have in the past.

You won’t get one. Pretty sure it’ll be someone we’ve never heard of.
Just hope he’s more Stendel than Morais!!

The difference is, Cryne didn't have a pot to piss in as a football club owner. He did what he did out of necessity.

When he allowed winnall, Hourihane and Bree to leave, at least we had points on the board and weren't in the position we are now.

These guys don't need to take on Crynes model but make it even more restrictive in terms of age and loan signings.

I think , I maybe wrong , but some of his other peers / managers might think he’s overstepped the mark tonight , there’s another manager got to take over from him . A simple thanks for the support on Social Media would have sufficed. I don’t think he would be happy if the boot was on the other foot and if he has already signed for Sunderland as some people are reporting from the Garrison, he’s had us for mugs

Can't agree with you. Board have given him a near impossible task.

If he's engineered a move away, good luck to him. I don't feel let down by him.

Pity the board didn't back him like the fans did.

    Good luck Daniel.

Why? Is he not supposed to manage any other club again? Sounds like Stewart Donald jumped in quick when he was available. And no he wasnt talking to them behind the boards back if that's what you're getting at.

I understand it will be hard on the new manager but it's up to them to manage in the way they see fit and to get the fans on board in their own way. Daniel's way is to engage and to give up his free time to do charity events etc. Not many managers would spend hours at a Macmillan coffee afternoon, yes they'd show their face for a bit but not for long.
