Well given that you told me yesterday your Trust mention on Radio Sheffield asked exactly the same questions as my post I wonder just who they will listen to? And do you not find the current silence somewhat at odds with the way they courted good PR when they came in? As a matter of interest, do you wonder whether they are still committed to the club, as I do?

I think you're right of course. It's like the line from the song "Feel" by Robbie Williams. "Before I fall in love, I'm preparing to leave her". It's all so very very sad, is this what football has become?

The ongoing radio silence from the club isn't doing anything to improve the situation, as far as I'm concerned.

The initial statement was disrespectful to Stendel, and rightly prompted a massive adverse reaction from supporters, including an official one from the Supporters Trust.

The ongoing silence, and lack of even a cursory acknowledgement of this, is now being disrespectful to supporters.

I've now got visions of our inadequate summer recruitment being the result of a few experimental nights of Dane playing Championship Manager.

If I take all the emotion out of it and try to look at this in a neutral way, with a glass half full approach, I would say they're still committed to the club and all this talk that they're happy to be a yo-yo team is pretty far fetched. If, as people are suggesting, they just want to make money, then they have far greater success of that being in the Championship where one successful season and a long term contract makes a £2 million player worth £5 million (or in Cauley Woodrow's case £7 million plus).

It's there for all to see that mistakes have been made on the pitch, both in terms of recruitment and some of the tactics employed by our departing Head Coach. But I'd like to think that whilst operating this baffling communication strategy, they're frantically working on recruiting the new head coach and on a plan for building bridges with the fans in the right way. It might take some brave personal appearances and the willingness to step in to the fire pit, but Patrick Cryne did it once or twice so why shouldn't they?

There is a caveat. The most value is sales disposal.

What would increase the value of the club most? Certainly in a short term fashion. Land.

Throw in a pound that’s been falling the last 2 years, and a fast buck may well be made.

I’d like to think they want to build, but there isn’t any clear evidence for that to be certain. Nice is our one football example, I’d be very interested to see transactional detail with the HK investment vehicle

As always when it comes to the financial side you make a good point regarding land. I think we're all aware there's been rumours (maybe even talks) about how to utilise the land around the stadium better to increase revenue.

I don't think they can be accused of not trying to build though. We have spent a decent wedge of cash compared to previous seasons, as we should have done considering promotion and the departing players, we've just not spent it well. I don't think that is deliberate at all, and from what I know we did miss out on a number of targets due to our wage structure that would have been certain first team starters.

My perceptions up to the sacking and dreadful comms were one of lack of understanding and a smidge of incompetence.

Having delved the last few days, some of the aspects of Nice are concerning. The loan in particular, the muddled history timeline and over egged claims... it could just be naivety and cultural divide, mixed with poor decision making or over reliance on an untested approach. It could be more sinister.

We may never know true motive, so we can only judge them by actions...this week hasn’t been a good one for them.

Have they contacted the trust at all?

I saw your detective work on the Nice training ground facilities. Very good info. I mentioned this earlier in the week, in that we never know the real fees for players these days, but I can see an investment of £10m this Summer in our transfer business with money spare for January.

As for hearing a response. No. But being honest we didn't expect one, it was more about using our channels to ensure there was something in the wider public domain that thanked Daniel Stendel for everything he did for the club and the own in his 18 months here.

    And fair play to you.

    Keep it up.

I’ve a few days spare next week so I’m going to try and do a bit of forensic digging. I’m trying to ascertain wealth. So far all I can find for either of them so far is disposal of 7 days inn. But he was co founder and his share was diluted with different investment vehicles and extra finance raising. So I’m nowhere near a billion yet... but my digging will continue!

It might get worse - no idea if this is true but it looks like this account was one of the first to talk about him going in the first place Screenshot_20191011-130406_Twitter.jpg

Can I get you to make sure you put the below on your 'must visit' list?

    Lost and Grounded
    Moor
    Left Handed Giant
    Wiper and True

Loads more. But those are the standouts for me I think.

The fall in the pound since they bought us is more likely to make it a fast loss. Selling now with us in the bottom 3 would also not be great, assuming a buyer could be found. Flipping a club like Nice, that is in France's top division & is a fashionable, wealthy area is one thing, finding a buyer that will pay good money for us would be a lot harder.

It gets worse, doesn't it? I'm mindful of the aims of your august body: "The Trust plan to work to help to strengthen the links between both the Trust, the football club and the community." Not exactly helping you, are they?

Not in this scenario no. But they have been open to fans forum events (normally two a year) and did allow us to 'build' Redfearn's Bar for five years, culminating in the FanZone this season. Paul Conway has been to various non-Trust events as well to be fair to him.

I don't want to go on any kind of club bashing expedition, as there have been positives, but I will be vocal on the statement they released.

    Done them all ;-)

Good chemistry always on there and like it on the grain barge (bbf) watching the world go by. Wild beer also got a bar now in the new container development (ish) near m shed.

Tend to come a few times a year... wiper and true you have to go through St. Paul’s which hasn’t improved much! Milkshake aside I’ve not come across many really experimental things yet... but always happy to test!!!

By the way before I meet the Mrs and start beer sampling... have you been to the new fourpure taproom? It’s bloody massive!!! Sends the mrs wappy (like thornbridge) so we tend to go to bbno or brick, or wander into camberwell to storm bird (pub not taproom) which has anspach & hobday near by
