Took advantage of the break this weekend to watch Peni Church against Bridlington, decent game. Best player on the pitch by a country mile was Callum Simpson at left back. Is he still a Barnsley player or did they release him this summer. Looked class (caveat being the level).

I have been to a few of their games lately and enjoyed both so much. In both games I went to the left back was a stand out too. Very good day out at Church for sure, only a fiver in and when I went first time they had Farmers Blonde on tap which is my personal favourite tipple. came away with change out of 20 quid for a few pints, entry, some grub and a raffle ticket. You wouldn't get value like that in the EFL.

I've fallen out with league football and prefer to go to non league. Get football like it used to be, at very good prices.
Why pay a small fortune and watch defeats when you're almost guaranteed a win at Penistone Church at the moment.
I'd strongly recommend at trip to Church view Road. It's only 5 mins from railway station.

Cameron Simpson got released by Barnsley, had a few injuries. He's been playing well since he signed for Church.

football is a fantastic game at the lower levels, i get to oakwell about 6 times a year and away games south of Birmingham too. I also go watch Havant and Waterlooville for £6 a game with military ID or it was just £99 (£4.50 a game) if you bought a season ticket this year.

cracking day out, good standard of football and you can get a pint in the majority of grounds in the national south whilst watching the game!

    I also attended on Saturday

    Great game and prices .

£5 in free for my 4 year old

Couple of pints and something to eat .

TV working in pub at half time ;)

Stood with some Bridlington fans and the passion for their team was fantastic.

    Some very tasty challengers .

Referee defo favoured Penistone in my view .

Thought Bridlington keeper was very good.

Penistone captain not sure his name never shut up all match organising his team .

    Something we miss at oakwell

Non league football is really undervalued . My daughter's ex was a referee in the lower leagues . We had some good days out at the likes of Frickley, Penistone, Staveley etc. Cheap to get in, decent football, easy exit and call for a cheeky curry on the way home, bloody perfect.

Shame she sacked him off . You know refs, a bit dull tbf.

I went to watch Frickley for a while. You could buy local pie, chips and peas for what you'd pay in the market, very good quality, and drink a pint of real ale while watching the game. I was desperate to care but I just couldn't. I wanted to be tied to this club, but it just wouldn't happen. I'm tied to Barnsley.

There are a few people on this board attempting to belittle those who are questioning what is happening. Makes me weep. For more reasons than I can begin to list. You don't care, that's fine, stop spending time on a BFC forum and stop criticising people who do care.

If things carry on as they are at Oakwell I might start going regularly I’ve always enjoyed it when I go.

Sorry, the second part wasn't aimed at you. Not in the slightest. Was an overview of the BBS in general. Realised when I posted it it seemed to be singling you out. It wasn't. Pronouns are a b*stars to navigate.
