    ......... LACK OF COMMUNICATION

We had the more or less silent Ganaye.
And now we have the silent Murphy.

The owners might have mistakenly taken the view that communication with the supporters is of no importance.
That could be the case if the owners do not want to achieve success at Barnsley.
But if they do want success then they will need the supporters with them.

At the moment - their discourteous stance of silence is forging a further wedge between the owners and the supporters.

GG was communicative at the time of Coaches leaving, being sacked and on their appointments. A stark contrast to this instance.

Not often I agree with YN, but on this I am in full agreement.

    Absolutely shocking.

Spot on Nudge. I’ve always defended the club but you can’t defend it the indefensible

I agree too, but I would go one step further. Even if they released a further statement today, or tomorrow, or whenever, I don't think it would make much difference. I can't begin to imagine what they could possibly say to appease me, and lots of other fans. I would have trouble taking any such statement at face value anyway. They've destroyed any connection I had with them, and I want them out of my club.

The entire episode is an absolute disgrace, but sadly I still think there is more to come that we don't know yet.

I agree it's deafening this silence, no word on new manager or what happened to stendel or the team build up to Saturday that's disturbing its like tumble weed is flowing across oakwell...

    We English have many faults.
But we are known throughout the world for our courtesy and politeness.
    Especially when dealing with customers.

Maybe that message needs getting over to the ownership of the club.

That patience remains - on the time it will take for the owners to move the club forward.
In the meantime a few words of encouragement to the supporters wouldn’t go amiss.

It’s completely bizarre, not even a stock, “we have received numerous applications and hope to have a permanent management team in place by blah blah blah”

i know that statement doesnt say anything but it’s out of the book of ‘Football statements to fans for beginners’

agreed, there must be some way of getting through to the owners. but on the face of it they are just plain ignorant. when they get an empty stadium on matchday, i bet they have something to say, though. probably we're off

Is that how public facing businesses usually work? Never seen that before. Can't think of a single instance where that has been utilised successfully by a big public facing organisation.

Or maybe ...their own professionalism (or lack of it) believes they are above answering the major stakeholders of the club ( the fans) constructive criticism.

Well it depends ,they may view the professional thing is to wait for the smoke to settle and then put their side and answer questions / criticism when fans are capable of putting them constructively .Senior Managers do it all the time , drop a bomb ( figuratively) on the workforce , wait for the initial uproar to die down then meet with the Reps ........and tell them a load b@ll@cks

Thing is, I dont think the fans will fall for their b@ll@cks this time. I was all for giving them the benefit of the doubt but they've shown their true colours these last weeks.
