I don't have a great deal of faith in any realistic targets to be honest. Which is why we shouldn't have sacked Stendel. If pushed I would have greater faith in someone like Darren Moore. Or someone who has at least demonstrated success at another level such as Gareth Ainsworth. But to be honest I would still have my reservations about those two appointments.
Whilst I have absolutely no proof, it seems like the board have probably realised that they have fecked up massively by getting rid of Daniel and are very much aware of the fans unhappiness at the sacking, so in order to try and appease us they have decided to get a legend back in the hope that it will make things ok: I think they may have underestimated us.
I'm not sure I believe it, but if true we must not take our eye off the clear, manipulative ploy from the Morais playbook: Hire someone with links to the club that will be extremely cheap but a large amount of the fanbase will look at emotionally and feel positive Said cheap option does not improve results and takes the blame for relegation instead of the board (I still think this of Morais’ appointment) A club legend has his reputation with the fans tarnished, the board nick off to find someone competent to develop these players into saleable assets through the course of next season Sell the developed assets and start over again
Don't agree mate.. I honestly think they don't give a flying ferk.. if they put anyone's nose out.. Plus it's all about results, 3 wins on the spin and it I'll be Daniel who... Don't think it I'll happen tho, we've more problems than just changing the Head coach will fix.
I completely agree with all you have said mate, however I said that they are very much aware of our unhappiness, I never said they had a conscience or cared. I agree that they probably don’t give a flying ****.
Been covered on here many times, but it fits the pattern. Free hit, they take us down, someone else comes in and builds again in L1. Promotion, spine of team sold off, manager sacked when it goes tits up in the Champ. Rinse & repeat. It's times like this I'm rather glad I work most Saturdays
These owners haven't shown much commitment to doing what the fans want or local appointments in the past. I am not sure they will start pandering to fans now. I think they will let the Murray thing run on for a while and see how he does before getting active on any recruitment. I can even write the press conf answer about a new managerial appointment..... 'We aren't going to rush into anything. What's important right now is to get behind the current coaching staff and the players."
I think unless he's a disaster he may get till Christmas. Nothing can be done signing wise and it would cost nothing. A bit like the Hecky caretaker situation under Cryne. If results turn out gash, then someone will be appointed, probably with us way adrift.
Again, all about results.. 3-0 darn after 20 minutes on Saturday may cause a rethink... Or not, who knows,
i'd still like wolfe or cherundolo, worked with a young squad before both know/use the pressing game and their records seem okay, but like everything its a gamble
surely there are people at the club that advise them? Anyone with half a brain cell could have told them that they are the problem and not the manager, and that he was still hugely popular with the fans. What the **** does James Cryne do at the club? Does he have any input, or is he just sitting quietly playing with his laptop? The mind boggles.
