Step by step the board are taking us back down into league one. - Then they'll hire a manager who'll get us promoted. - Sell the best performing players from the previous season or those entering the last year of the contract - Replace with more young potential who aren't quite ready for the level - Manager realises we need experience in order to compete/bring on the players - Manager gets sacked for nagging the board but this time they release a 20 word statement. - Place a cheap, temporary man in charge to get us to the end of the season and oversee the relegation. Rinse and repeat, a sure way to always make profit every few years.
Redders would be good to try get fans back on boards side but could be a disaster and ruin his legacy here if it all goes wrong. I think he's too much of an Oakwell legend for that to happen.
To appoint someone as an attempted face saver would be disastrous and compound further the suggestion they don't have a clue what they are doing. From data driven and analytical, to then appointing a name... that would be beyond daft. If you have a model you believe in, use it. As and when it proves it doesn't work, learn from it and adapt it so it works better. I don't think anyone can argue they found an absolute diamond in Daniel. Sadly, they discarded it and made a pigs ear of the comms. Do that to someone of already legend status and they wont find any hospitability from fans.
This proves to be the case I won’t be bothering with a season ticket anymore. Just pick and choose games if and when I fancy it.
My thoughts exactly at the moment, although this getting promoted straight away from League One aint as easy as they and some of our fans seem to think it is.
When we set Daniel on , it was part of another plan to play the high pressing game all way through the academy etc , will they be ditching this plan too
