For the managers job. At least for the foreseeable future. Congratulations on becoming head coach, Mr. Murray.
Apologies if this has already been posted by one of the others, I've just got back from Highgate club. Oh, and a 12 hour shift. The joys.
Couldn't possibly say pal. I'm not sure what the odds are for him to get the job, but if youve got a spare 20 quid laying abart then throw it all on Murray. I think he knows he's here for the long haul, I jist don't think the club will announce it.
Sounds fair enough to me mate. Glad to see that Tonge and Stern are going to still be knocking around though.
So they're putting a man in charge who won't dare question 'the plan', how convenient! When are we going to hear from the board? I'd like to say I'm surprised but I'm genuinely not, what if Murray loses each of the next four games comfortably?!
I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to work out Murray will be in situ for the next three games and if we get positive results they'll probably leave him to it, similar to when Heckingbottom was caretaker boss. But I imagine there will be others in contention who the club will be meeting.
Because the board like Murray more? Because Murray has been in management before and has more qualifications? Who knows.
As I say, this is very normal practice then. We and many other clubs have plenty of history when it comes to giving the stand-in a few games and sometimes they end up being the man. We've appointed from within a fair few times also, often with great success.
It's times like now i really wish i could jist let my mouth go (fingers in this case) and tell the full tale. However, as the admin on here will know, i almost got someone in alot of trouble once before. I won't do it again.
