My man of the match if I'm honest, got stuck into their striker early on. Caught flat footed a couple of times in the second half but very few players are error free for 90 mins. Reminded me very much of Carl Tiler in the way he attacked the ball in the air.
I thought he was magnificent, in fact all the lads were, proud of every one of them. Yes we missed some chances, but we had some bad luck and we lost 2 defenders with what looked like hamstring pulls. Well done lads, proud of you.
And yet oddly, all of those other teams also have players who make mistakes, today I saw ex premier league players fail to take all their chances and get frequently dispossessed by a bunch of ‘kids’. I suppose some of their fans will also be focussing on the negatives. We are all of us in the gutter... (as someone once said) today I watched some utter stars playing for my team and holding a much more expensive and experienced side to a draw. I’ll be drinking to their good health this evening rather than wringing my hands over a few mistakes.
I thought he played well. Looks better and less exposed with somebody at either side of him. Sibbick could’ve been better. Definitely should’ve put a foot in during the run up to their goal.
Bloody hell! I’ve been an Halme critic but he was outstanding today. On the front foot, aggressive from the start. I thought others took their lead from his ‘up and at em’ Mom by a country mile. Some of my fellow Reds shouldn’t be allowed to pick their nose let alone a mom award.
Being a good defender means you shouldn’t be making slide tackles often as you’ve read the game and the situation. If that’s what you mean by “cleanest”. I thought he was okay today. Not his best game for us, but not his worst either. He’s going to get better and better the more games he plays. I reckon he’ll be sold for many millions in a couple of years.
Thought he was good today and tactically “took one for the team” quite late in the second half by taking out their forward when it was needed. Thought he was head and shoulders above Sibbick who should have done the same in the lead up to Swansea’s goal.
I thought he put in a very professional performance today. Very Liam Lindsay-esque, no glitz or glamour, just knuckled down and got a job done. Halme is my first U-turn of this season. Write off, after Carlisle in the cup, now a must starter, for me.
Yep he’ll be a top defender by next season when we’re down, shame he couldn’t be playing this year alongside a defender with some championship experience
