Looks like we're going to appoint Struber. The Board are sticking to the Plan. European head coach, developing young players. Apparently, the job was offered to Asbaghi, another European coach. Presumably, at least a couple of others (Redfearn?) have been interviewed and everyone on the coaching staff considered. New guy needs to be given a chance to turn it around. Hopefully, in January, he'll bring in a couple of players and trade a couple who are out of favour. New tactics, new system. . .mid-table finish anyone??
Just woke up! Watched EFL on Quest and decided we're a League 1 side at best. Living in hope that a new coach works a miracle, but expecting that bubble to be burst when we play Hull.
Got the rest of the season off for me. If he keeps us up it’s a miracle if not then he’ll be judged on next seasons achievements not this.
For me we have to change the playing style, hold a deeper line & try and catch teams on the break. We have a fair bit of pace in the team & it may reap some results. We clearly don't have the players to play the high press came in this division. I'm not confident we an stay up, but a decent fight would at least get some fans back on board & some decent signings in January.
Planning with an eye on next season in hope that he'll emulate Herr Stendel and get us back up quickly should we go down.
If we do, or if we appoint anyone else, I hope the board will recognise the contributions of the likes of Chris Stern, Dale Tonge, Adam Murray, Martin Devaney, Bobby Hassell, etc.
Just said direct on what I read, I interpreted as hoof but could mean anthing. As for his managerial style, Borussia.de describe it as “good organisation, courageous, and direct football,”
I really hope its not hoof and just fast counter attack. The minimum I expect from the owners after their proud preaching of how they courted Daniel is that whoever they hire has to fit with the same technical and footballing style ethos that can be run through the club. To abandon that just makes a mockery of everything.
Well they didn't recognise the contribution of our record points winning former head coach, so I'm not sure they'll recognise the other coaches efforts either.
Martin Devaney is Head Coach of the Under 23s so unrelated. Bobby Hassell isn't a coach, he's Academy Manager.
