Romanov? Was that it? I can't even recall the craziness that went on there but I vaguely recall it was just that. Glad they've got rid of him. We can but aspire!
Now that it's in the press I'll also confirm that this matches with what I was told weeks ago and have alluded to on here previously. We're yet to pay him his compensation. This is the legal battle referenced. Why aren't we paying up? That's where the speculation should be... The person who told me this shortly after Stendel was sacked said at the time that he did not know the reasons. Now he does, or believes he does, and backs the club's position. Funnily enough, he wouldn't tell me anything more.
Right, so if he's still.on the pay roll.does that mean he's getting his monthly pay cheque? Really confusing.
All the best to Stern in his future. Seemed a good egg. I assume Stendel has got himself another job and he’s joining him. Good luck to them.
interesting that the guy you know is now backing the club's position. Interesting also that the club are thanking Chris. there appears to be far more to the whole DS thing than people know. I said at the time that we shouldn't jump to conclusions until we knew more. However we do live in the crazy world of guilty until proven innocent these days and unfortunately that's what the club are charged with by the pitchfork and burning torches mob led by DWLC. I really really really hope that Gerhard and his coaching team can lead this hungry group of young talented lads to survival. Welcome to Barnnsley Gerhard.
And I thought we were friends after you liked a comment I made.... oh well, I shall just have to console myself with berliner weisse and a Yorkshire pudding!
I'd like a stronger beer / lager but the Yorkshire sounds good as long as it's got the right egg content and is served with onion gravy. I'd like to offer an olive branch in return ....life being too short for squabbles etc.
Thing is it works the other way too. So by saying the board are innocent then Daniel is guilty. Of what? Unless he stole money to the value of the rest of his contract I can't see why the board wouldnt pay up and move on, like we're all supposed to be doing.
Just accept we don't know whats gone off , Stendel hasn't made any statements about his alleged sacking ,there are obvious legal issues with his contract or separation from the club we don't know about . I've always thought it strange that Stern didn't go with him and stayed on , obviously with the owners and his agreement . Good luck to him in the future
I do accept that we dont know what's gone off but nothing seems to be making much sense.if you have a bad apple at work you seek to get rid of them as quickly as you can so it just seems odd that the board are acting this way.
That's why I stopped bamboozling myself. The owners can't be all bad because they have paid compo for the new boss. If it were all about penny pinching they'd have signed a freebie.
It is odd yes, the only thing I can come up with is they have sacked him for (what they believe)gross misconduct and he is disputing this and wants a pay out and feels if he takes a job prior it would affect a payout. Pure speculation of course and could and am probably totally wrong.
