I hope our board are satisfied. They treated him badly and now he's having to go to a tin pot league to carry on his coaching.

Always had a soft spot for Hibs - going to have to change now.

If he takes the job, it demonstrates that he was prepared to stay in the U.K. but for whatever
reason, was reticent to commit to a contract extension with us. Good luck to Daniel and of course Chris
Stearn and Dale Tongue who both look to be set to join DS north of the border.

It was patently obvious from his facial expressions whenever Murray spoke to Tongey in the dugout, that the
latter probably didn't rate him after serving under Stendel. Hope it works out for him at Hearts.

If all 3 of them end up there I might just have to arrange a trip to 1 of their games just to give Stendel and co the support they deserve.

Wasn’t Heckingbottom good? Did I imagine his time here?

No, he wasn’t. He was a good coach of someone else’s already successful squad then has repeatedly failed to do it as a head coach in his own right or with his own team. Even with not too far off this Leeds team. He is a good coach, an abysmal head coach.

Are not ‘good manager’ stats by any stretch of the imagination.

If he takes it, as far as I’m concerned he left BFC with no hard feelings, wish him the best of luck

Barnsley fan from Glasgow, Gary Tedford is on radio Scotland tonight about 6.30 talking about Stendel and what Hearts can expect.

I genuinely hope he takes it, gives jobs to Stern and Tonge and goes on to really upset the ugly sister status quo in Scotland.

I'd love him to succeed up there.

I'm totally out of the loop at the minute. Hearts been informed by Barnsley that compensation would be due? How is that possible when we sacked him?

It's claimed we are still paying him until the end of the season viz: gardening leave as he signed
a two year contract in June 2018.

There's a belief by many that last season we had the best players and hence we got promoted. We had some good players (all but Mowatt and Woodrow we, ahem, lost) but so did a number of other clubs. And we had some average ones. We had a good manager. I think he'll do well.

Tonge's going up there, knew about the interest pretty much straight after leaving us hence his 'dale says hopefully he will be back in football real soon' part in the chron.

Wish nothing but the very best to all 3 of them. Love em all

Where/when were you in the loop when the club stated that they had sacked him. If you ever find a link then please point me in its direction.
