Well said. This is something the vast majority of people haven't a clue about. A council's hands are tied by the amount of money the government allows it (the revenue support grant). Only a third of council spending is raised from council tax and business rates.

Are you actually assuming the worldwide banking crash happened because they paid bonuses?

Just google it, every country was hit by it, Labour didn't cause the worldwide banking collapse, but Gordon Brown showed them the way to deal with it. He got worldwide recognition for it

Not at all. Just saying it wasn't just under the Tories as e-red implies that massive bonuses were /are paid. Labour had 13 years to stop them but I don't remember them trying to do so.

Are there just 2? who are the candidates? As far as I know Johnson and Corbyn aren’t standing in your constituency so you can’t vote for either of them

The repeal of glass stegal was the major reason for the crash , done by bill Clinton and all the bought and paid for senators / representatives . Instituted by FDR in the 30s it separated commercial and personal banking meaning they could nt take your money and start gambling it in risky investments , which is exactly what happened once repealed .

Just to clarify are you talking about nationally or locally? Because local government have had to deal with 40% cuts through austerity which has massively impacted their ability to deliver public services.

Nip down to the polling station on Thursday - neither Corbyn nor BoJo are standing in Barnsley, so it should make your choice a bit easier.

My local Brexit party candidate has a registered address in Kensington & Chelsea. I'm sure they are familiar with the issues facing the constituency and have a plan for how they can improve matters for potential constituents - although they don't actually appear to have thought about who would be PM if they won every seat they are contesting...

Nor did I see things get noticeably better in Barnsley with a labour government and a labour council. Why? Because they take Barnsley for granted. Labour is dead in its current state as everyone can see they constantly spout unachievable wish lists that they can’t pay for. These Tory bleeders are there for the taking but labour are too inept to do it.

Well Labour is in charge of the Welsh NHS and apparently that’s no better than ours. Personal experience of ours last night staff are wonderful equipment not so much
Labour in Wales are only in charge of distributing the crumbs from Westminster .
Just as labour councils are having to make the best from the meagre rations from the same .
It’s Tory cuts that’s to blame , if you were given a massive pay cut would your family blame you for the things they have to do without ? Or do they understand it’s your evil boss that’s bestowed this upon them ?
