I went to watch Crusaders play Dungannon Swifts yesterday. It was a poor game for the neutral as Crusaders totally dominated from first kick to last and there was, consequently, no atmosphere.
There was a Crues fan sitting behind me who spent the entire 90 minutes criticising every misplaced pass, every missed tackle. It was constant. He moaned at one pass as it left the players boot and then soundlessly watched it float perfectly over the last defender to the foot of it's intended target. He watched the fourth goal, a curling free kick, settle in the corner of the net without comment until the restart when he said it had only gone in because the wall was badly positioned.
    His team ultimately won 5-0.
He never uttered a single word of joy, satisfaction or praise. It was bizarre. I do wonder why some folk go. It would ve far cheaper to sit at home in front of the telly and moan at Eastenders or something!

Staying with the outlaws in Dublin but it's a rare chance to take in a bit of footy and a day in Belfast is quite nice. :)

That's a big shame, I'm also in Dublin with in laws and having being abandoned yesterday ( Little Women) searched in vain to find anything sporting to entertain myself. I'd have gladly driven to Seaview if I'd have thought of it. We played in a Tournament on the Isle of Man in the 1990s with Crusaders and I came home with Shirts, pens and scarfs ect and thought they were a very friendly bunch. Where in Dublin are you, I'm currently in Dundrum.

    Navan Road N7 mate.
Are you in Dublin often? I came up to watch Shamrock Rovers a while back. If you're around when the LOI starts or at a loose end next Christmas give me a shout. I usually go up north for a game. Went to see Glenavon last year.

I'm over for every Christmas and Easter but we always go back for the New Year. For certain I'd like to take in a game but yesterday was the first time I was given 24 hrs notice of being dumped.
