Fontaines gets my vote. 2020 already looking brilliant for British music. Watch out for dry cleaning, squid and Black Country, new road.

Oh Sees album is great. Also enjoyed Wilco, Richard Dawson, Jamie Branch and Purple Mountains. I bought quite a few others, it was a good year for new music

Fontaines DC aren't British (unless we've invaded Dublin this morning), but also new Idles album due this year.

You say the Fontaines album is great, then talk about British music immediately afterwards :)

Cinematic Orchestra are superb. One of my closest DJ mates knows Jason & I know John quite well.

I have a 12 inch promo of A Caged Bird, which has been rinsed at eclectic sets I play.

My favorite for the year was The Wildhearts - Renaissance Men. Cracking album and probably their best work since their debut.

Thanks to everyone for replying. I have a few items on my wish list now, from artists I'd never heard of before, plus several others to check out in more detail when time allows. Exactly what I was hoping for. :)

White Lies - Five. How this band aren't absolutely huge amazes me.
