There are many of us on here that follow UK politics in depth and are frustrated / angered / bewildered at the election of Johnson...

I would like to start this Johnson Watch thread where we can note some of the shady things he is up to that we discover from our different sources and angles.

I know there are those on BBS that like Johnson, well you don’t have to read it do you...

    Johnson’s New Year...
In a $42,000 a week villa on a private island in the Caribbean with a British-born German aristocrat...

Failure to condemn assassination of Suleimani - difficult to do with a trade deal needed....

Just him? That seems a tad optimistic.

This thread could end up being longer than the infamous "Is There A God?" from back in the day.

That question is sorted now. If there was a God, there wouldn't be a Johnson.

As a hardcore rationalist myself, I'm very impressed with your usage of cause and effect to prove a negative!

To be honest, it's not that difficult.... Everything is a negative where Johnson's concerned. :)

I think it's been done to death now. We all know Labour supporters don't like Johnson. Compiling a list of things he's doing wrong for the next five years isn't going to change anything.

We'll all get a chance to change things at the next election.

I agree. I was previously on the fence, but I'm coming round to the idea of having a separate political board on here. Apart from the odd quip, I'm trying to stay out of these threads. Easier said than done, though...

Why should we watch Lee Johnson? I think he's doing a reasonable job at Bristol.

Boris Johnson falsely claimed several times during the general election campaign that there would be no checks on the Irish sea, and was accused by the opposition of lying.

Whether the prime minister had misunderstood the agreement he had signed or was indeed lying to the public, the text of the deal signed in November is clear that there will indeed be checks.

Except that under the WA there is a transition period until the end of this year, and Johnson is confident that a full trade agreement will be negotiated before the end of that period. If he is right about that then there wouldn't be checks thereafter?
