Defences win championships, I've been a Niners fan for 30 years. Our D is just nasty, Bears 1985 brutal. Shanahan and Lynch in the space of 3 years have rebuilt a roster that now looks amazing long term. Drafted extremely well in the lower rounds 2 years running. They've done well in free agency, and capped it off by getting undrafted guys like Bourne and Breida playing key roles. Mostert a journeyman special teams player is now the main running back amazing. O Line is awesome, 3 starters and 2 rotationals got cut by other teams. The scheme Shanahan runs blows me away every week. We had 2 losing seasons, if Jimmy G was fit last year we'd have maybe got a wildcard. However the silver lining in all that is drafting Bosa and trading for Ford. Pash rusher wins games and equals sacks and turnovers.

What I've enjoyed this season is the promotion of young players, with a few experienced ones.I think I became a fan because they are a small city team, they are community supported and fiercely independent. Matt le Favre has done well in his first season.I won't be disappointed whatever happens, it must be hard if you support the Jags,Bears,Bengals,Giants, this season I was impressed with the Steelers,Seahawks and Eagles and the Titans. I 'm not sad about the Patriots or the Cowboys.

Good reasons to like em. as I wrote early in the thread I was taken there on a 'soccer' tour as a young boy. But I'm really pleased it was them for the reasons you say. Working class origins and community owned. And they are one of the very oldest teams.

Although I think the 9ers are too strong,
for the game my hopes are on Matt LaFleur's tactical nous to be honest, and the old Rodgers experience and magic. He has plenty to work on after the last game and maybe, just maybe they will be complacent. Most people seem to think it's a forgone conclusion.

Hoping the Titans win it all...

Ryan Tannehill dropping bombs on everyone.

Though likelihood is will be 49ers or Chiefs.

About as likely as Barnsley winning the FA Cup, I would say.

Get in there you marvellous Niners! Run the Packers over! Just got to figure out how to stop Mahomes now, we've got 2 weeks! Get the front 4 rested and hungry!

Arguably the best two teams of the season in the SuperBowl (The Ravens had a shout too).

Bedlam in San Francisco tonight but that was as dominating Championship performance as you’ll see. Loved it!

Jimmy G was class. How amusing at the time Tom Brady might leave the Pats, his old QB back up is going to win the SuperBowl when they could do with him back. Quarter of a decade of being useless is nearly over.

What a comeback it would have been though!

Correct winner in the end. Looking forward to the superbowl in 2 weeks. My body clock isn't though! A bit difficult getting up this morning!

Niners to equal the Superbowl record and dominate the NFL for the next 5 years.

    The new Patriots.
