I'm going home today and nothing will stop me cycling, I had a bit of a layoff in the autumn due to a knee injury sustained while mowing the lawn (there must be joke in there somewhere) and I put on half a stone in 3 weeks. I might just try and avoid dark nights in future. The funny thing is I actually feel safer on the roads when it's dark because you can see headlights far earlier than you would see the vehicle in daylight.
There’s ......... Brush with fame. Brush with death. Brush with love. Only on here would you get. Brush with bush. Lol !!!
Dangerous obviously but generally healthier than not cycling. I'm being mercilessly nagged to wear a helmet which I will do as I'll have a weakness (some might say I've had a weakness in the head since I was born), but that won't protect me from breaking ribs etc.... It's just life, these things happen, I could have been doing DIY up a ladder and sustained worse injuries.
Hope you have a quick recovery from your unfortunate mishap,.. although if you will go round doing Brer Rabbit impersonations...………!
Ive just looked at the local police report down there, looks like they are taking it very seriously regarding this bush as this incident isnt the first time this has happened....im hearing .theyve appointed ............. .....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....special branch!! yuk yuk yuk!!!
Mate, I'm just thinking, a random bush attacks a bloke in Lycra, good on the bush I say. The good lord moves in mysterious ways. BTW get thi crash hat on, there's some seriously nut case bushes out there. .
Not seen it yet, the bloke that picked me up off the road (I was unconscious) put the bike in the back of his car and will bring it back when it's convenient.
Never wear lycra, only a pair of cycling shorts (or longs this time of year) always under some ordinary shorts. I don't want to scare anyone with my backside....
Good for you Brush! I wish I could cycle to work, but Hilton to Stoke is a bit far at 27 miles each way! I'll just have to carry on cycling at the weekends . Good luck with the recovery. I had an accident earlier last year, fell off a ladder and face planted a big plant pot, smashed my lower front teeth out and the bone below, sliced through my nose as well, I was glad they took me to Derby rather than Burton .
I've just twigged it due to previously barking up the wrong tree.. Now we've got to the root of the matter we can branch out and send both you and your friend healing thought's..guess accidents are part and parcel of the cycle of life don't let them kerb (curb ) you enthusiasm... Get well soon
