Has potential if you ask me - looked decent af CB at first, before his confidence completely went!

I agree. Think some of the stick he's taken has been properly harsh, especially bearing in mind the situation. I definitely see something in him.

There wouldn't have been any criticism if he'd been brought in as a development player rather than a first teamer. I think most people directed the criticism where it was deserved though.

I can see potential in him too but he's definitely not ready to be a championship first team regular yet. The reasons he has had so much criticism are not his fault and I think most fans understand this and have apportioned the blame in the direction of those responsible.

A loan move could be the best option for him.

He's definitely got some attributes we can work with but right now he should be nowhere near the fist team. Positionally the lad is all over the place. Let's hope we can get him a loan at a L1 club with guaranteed game time to bring him on.

To be fair though, I saw potential in Carl Regan, Gary Jones, Sean McClare, and quite a few other no-marks, so my endorsement probably isn't any guarantee of a glittering career!

    All these players -
    Wilks
    Sibbick
    Green

    Are really good players.
Just a pity they are not quite ready for the first team.
But someday, if they work hard enough, they will be.

Blind optimism. Most fans are guilty of this at some point. I also had confidence in the potential of McClare.

Now what I was told but then who knows. Stendel and Winkler scouted him when he broke through early in the season. He was an ever present no matter the position under Stendel, and he was singing his praises big time at the Supporters’ Trust night.

Stendel was genuinely baffled as to why Sibbick was getting so much criticism from fans.
