3 teams will be relegated from the Championship.
I would hazard a guess that one team will be relatively inexperienced at Championship level.
One team will be an assembled group of journey men.
And the other one could be a team who've gambled the family jewels to be able to compete at this level and will start league one in massive debt and players they are unable to move on.
I think my point is there are no hard and fast rules for Championship survival and enhancement.
If we are to go down (which I certainly haven't thrown the towel in) would we be better placed to maybe come straight back up as opposed to the other options.

I am more positive about the future of Barnsley Football Club than I have been for 15 years.

That’s presuming we have the players left to tear up league 1 again.
Just cannot see the likes of Woodrow, Chaplin, Mowatt, brown still being here as they will all be sold as is the way of these owners.
That leaves, well not very much in my eyes to be perfectly honest of higher quality and mid-table league 1 will be an achievement should we go down as is now looking more and more likely.
Should we go down, the evidence will all be blatantly clear that these owners have regressed Barnsley FC and not progressed us as they stated was their aim on purchase.
If all this comes to pass I also think the owners will look to sell as they will have no doubt recouped the loan taken to buy us plus whatever profit they can legally amass and move on, ala OGC Nice.
We will be left with a bang average League 1 side at best I fear.

We’d more than likely be minus Woodrow, Chaplin, Mowatt and Brown. Therefore it’d be very difficult to have much confidence in us bouncing straight back up.

You been sharing substances with Bambo?

I see a gradual downward spiral which will end up in league two and maybe non-league.

The team which would start league one next season is a world away from the one that started league one last time. It would be this squad minus at least four of the better players with some young kids added. No reason to expect much more than mid-table, at which point the better performers get sold on to the Sunderland’s and Portsmouth’s of this world, with a lower half finish the next season. Rinse and repeat - something has to give before that point though surely?

Just remind me, which first team players did they sell last time they got relegated?

We still lost him to a championship clubs though during the season. Do you really think Woodrow and Mowatt would stay because I don't. .

But that’s different to the original suggestion if it’s the boards way. Which clearly last time it wasn’t.
We sold Bradshaw and bought Woodrow, which everyone agrees was a positive move.

The board have lots to answer for but let’s not reinvent history because some posters just want to post negative **** all the time(not you RH)

I posted on a thread on tykes mad that the owners have progressed the club in terms of transfers and fees spent. Just on wrong players with no footballing knowledge. I still think they're penny pinching because signing £1 million players when you need £2 million players defeats object.

I dont think they're doing much different to what Cryne did with Keith Hill and the Rochdale experiment and laterly Lee Johnson. Just a different guise.

Scowen and Roberts refuses to sign new contracts, rest aside of Roberts were either let go or weren’t even ours.
How tyou can include the likes of Mcburnie & Harvey Barnes I’ll never know.

Ok, fair one, what’s your point here? I cannot be arsed to trawl through webpage after webpage to panda to your predilections as what’s passed is passed quite frankly. Let’s hear it as I can’t stand the suspense any longer...

Simple really you said “Just cannot see the likes of Woodrow, Chaplin, Mowatt, brown still being here as they will all be sold as is the way of these owners”

Which historically is clearly not true as their actions after the last relegation showed.
You clearly don’t like, trust or believe in the current owners which is your right.
But as I said to another poster the board have enough to answer to without reinventing history.

Did we want Woodrow? Bradshaw was banging them in and Woodrow didn't play to begin with

Tbfor Stendel and Woodrow were good moves by the board but Brown, Mowatt and Woodrow have already got their promotion medals for league 1 so can't see any attraction for them in league 1 next season. So yes they'll probably " engineer moves"
