The article implied it was discussed in a team meeting. How would they know that without it being one of the team??
And you'll keep that to yourself, like the Scottish fan who seems to be getting off on being in the know, like the Red Chris guy who used to be the same on here? Why not out these people?
yes but the ‘unofficial’ news was out well before any article and the club then was backed into a corner in having to tell the news agencies something. Red Helen may be right that there are multiple leaks as a lot seems to get out lately.
I don’t mean any offence Helen, but you seem very naive in this case. It’s not as easy as “just tell the truth” I’m afraid it’s not like the directors sit around and say “I know, let’s lie to the fans for no reason whatsoever, how funny would that be?” There are obviously reasons for it - I’m not sure why we, as fans, need to know the ins and outs anyway to be honest. Until the investigation has been completed, there is no news anyway. I also don’t think the club should base its decisions around assuming classified information will get leaked out.
Again, you're missing what I've said. I am stating that the article in the news said the information was released during a team meeting. It matters not that their article came a few days after the Scottish fan tweeted something. They've obviously had to verify their story, the fan clearly doesn't care to. So again, I'm stating that the leak must therefore have come from within the team meeting. A player is passing things on to that fan. The same fan was on facebook previously giving out team news hours before it was released. Again, that's something only a player could know. Unless his source was Stendel, then Murray and now Struber.
That's not what I'm saying. You stated that you know 'for a fact' that there's more than one person at the club leaking things. I'm saying you won't tell us how. Which is the same sort of thing as this Scottish fan and other in the know types before him. Someone at the club is leaking sensitive information and I'm quite surprised that they're being hidden.
But you know for a fact more than one person at the club - maybe a non-player or two - are leaking things to someone you know? It's like Sherlock this.
Well it's not exactly lihe Sherlock is it. The fact is that in a lot of football clubs stuff gets leaked. Go on any fans forums and you ll see the same. My conclusion is that footballers don't seem to feel the need to be as confidential about what's going off in their workplace as other occupations. And to get back to the original point the CEO/ owners are naive if they think stuff wont leak out and I dont see why you suggest that the fan gets punished for it.
I never said he should be punished. I wondered aloud if the club would be happy about what he's doing. I find it very poor that people are leaking things as it doesn't say much for the club. Very disrespectful. But it appears that some fans like the notoriety and that's where my wondering came from.
As I said, it doesn't just happen at Barnsley by all accounts. The club probably arent happy but it's their job to plug any leaks surely?
