The hand dryers were on order before the owners came in apparently. Just like the new Academy at Nice which had also been planned before they arrived ! Two separate things completely of course but provides food for thought related to the original posters question as to what tangible progress can realistically be attributed to the owners.
Absolutely nothing of consequence. Lots of talk of international investment that’s never materialised in the 2 years plus they’ve been here. Severely weakened the playing staff by buying lots of below par youth players from all over the shop whilst compounding this error by selling some of our best promotion performers, especially pinnock, for bang average fees to the first bidder. They are just playing and gambling at football club ownership at low risk to themselves as they haven’t put personal investment into this club, but high consequence to our club long term and they are failing massively. I predict when all the money loaned to buy us initially is recouped if it hasn’t been already, they’ll admit they’ve failed at Barnsley and sell us on, either with us down in league 1 or worse. They are ten-Bob billionaire charlatans who properly pillocked the late PC into selling 80% of our club to them so they could have a low-risk personal dabble at English football.
They did to an extent I think, but given the PC situation before he died and his need/wish/desire to keep the club going for the future then, perhaps, 'pillocked' is the wrong word. I know what you mean though...
Consolidation in the championship will be the first achievement, whether it be on the last day of the season or comfortable mid table.
They haven't done one good thing since being here and are set to oversee a second relegation so soon in to their tenure. They haven't got our biggest games of the season back to 3 pm kick offs on a Saturday. Nor have they sorted the problem with our capacity being around 4k lower than what it should be. They haven't brought in new investment and wasted money on the Times Square vanity project that nothing came from. We have sold many of our best players, got shut of one of the most successful managers in our history and filled our team with foreign lads from Mickey Mouse leagues that we need to give time to that we simply do not have. We replaced a bricks and mortar structure that can be used all year round for a big tent that's only there weather permitting. We sprinkle the pitch even when it's raining, the playing surface looks worse than it has for years and 3 pm kick offs usually start at 3 or 4 minutes past. Our board tell their media buddies what's going on with Stendel but don't tell us fans for ages. We still know very little about the Diaby mess because our board are silent.
