First, I was there so I appreciate that doesn’t always give you the best perspective on the match. First half, Charlton very lively and well up for the game in a way we couldn’t match. We were no great shakes going forward which means we’re waiting for the defensive mistakes and sure enough...... Second half. Charlton very strange. If you can remember what we are like when we’re leading 2-0 at Oakwell you get an idea about what they were like. As soon as we sussed out they were bang average, we start to dominate. Players come alive, they make themselves available and suddenly Charlton look in trouble. A few observations. - We will be relegated at the end of this season because we have the worst defence in the Division. - if it wasn’t the defence that did for us the amazing lack of consistency from individual players would get us anyway. - I’m not sure Struber is up to it. When we got into the game it was as much to do with Charlton taking their foot of the gas, Bowyer making some very odd substitutions, and mild panic setting in among their players. - Woodrow’s inability to jump off the ground gets right on my tits but his footballing brain is light years of anyone at this Club. Incidentally, sod him at the head of the diamond, he should be up top. - Don’t be fooled by the stats or the fact we hit the woodwork three times. None of those are an indication of how the game played out. - The Referee. I know we go on about Refs but this guy!! So incompetent he could replace Jay from the Inbetweeners as our CEO. - The BFC support. Jesus where do they come from in those numbers and why do we do it. Thick as lard. - onto next Saturday which could be toxic if things pan out as they have been doing.
A lot did. I was surprised at the numbers. i’m having one (or two) when I get in. I hope our Lass is ready to go out.
FWIW We need to play for 90 minutes, not just the last 20. Two foul throws, WTVF? Who told Radlinger (or Struber for that matter), that he was a goalkeeper? No authority whatsoever in his penalty area, shocking decision maker, makes Luke Steele and Adam Davies look like world class distributors. They don’t deserve the level of support they got today (the club, not the players). ‘That ref...
