I've been doing a little bit of research, and it turns out that Mads Anderson is quite a common name in Denmark. I've come to the conclusion that the spreadsheet picked up a "Mads Anderson" who is actually pretty good at football, but we just signed the wrong one. I reckon that we've actually got this guy turning out for us in defence every week, the the footballing Mads still in Copenhagen.

He’s the worst defender I’ve seen at Oakwell, I’m sick of watching him being ****.

    interesting theory MT !
O/T didn't Paxman once interview someone on Newsnight re the economic implications of the falling value of the pound.
Transpires the guy who gave excellent responses was a taxi driver come to the studio to pick collect someone.

I am Mads Andersen - I am Mads Andersen - I am Mads Andersen -- with apologies to Kirk!

    He's not the worst defender.

Sollbauer was far less of a defender than Mads today.

He's just not a Franz Beckenbauer defender.

He incredibly weak and at time struggles to pass the ball, for example 1st half odour throws him the ball under no pressure goes to pass the ball back passes it out of play... wednesday throw

What about Sollbauer being played the ball from the goalie in space half a dozen times in the first half, only to play it square to Mads who is in even less space?

There is a witchhunt on here against Mads irrespective of how he plays.

They were both playing it back and forth to each other then mads gave it to the wednesday man and Saulbaire put the tackle in and we got fortunate it didnt cost us, I can only say what I saw what about wickham running through mads 1st half asif he wasnt there running at the side of him similar to what happened v preston at home, same 2nd half with there other man weak as piss.... watch the highlights I dont think it's a witch hunt people just say what they see. He didnt play well I've seen him play alot worse but it was bad at times very bad.

He needs out I admire he’s trying but continuing him to start is making me Pissed off and I ain’t bothered about voicing it. What the hell did he try for their first goal. He could of cleared it or hammered it anywhere. He tries to pea roll it somewhere. On the bright side sol didn’t do too bad after all and williams was okay. Made some decent runs. We definitely wanted it more. Just a shame the EXPERIENCE didn’t see us through who would of though. Coyr

Sollbauer is down the flank with options available, playing it to Mads in the centre, with none.

Mads has many a mistake in him, but he wasn't that bad today.

I gave you two examples that luckily didnt cost us. Playing it from side to side between him and Saulbaire is stupid but it's obviously instructed by struber. He wasnt great today imo like I said to good bits some bad some very bad.

Worse thing is, it looks like the remit for the whole defence is to give it to Anderson to play out.

Maybe he’s seen as a ball player by struber trooper?

No he just can’t defend full stop. That run down their right from Wickham against him showed you everything you need to know. He’s miles off the pace and would be in League One.

He made conor wickham look like Lionel Messi for 30 seconds. It really was shocking lucky wickham squared the ball and solbauer put it out for a corner shocking defending.

Unfair criticism of our defending partnership. Andersen made some decisive blocks, clearances and tackles. Sollbauer was nervous in the first half and I thought I heard a few boos from the home fans when his debut was announced - which I think is not acceptable. In the second half he was more assured and that late run into the Wednesday defenced promised something more from him when he settles in. He stayed on the pitch at the end and it obviously meant something to him to make his Oakwell debut. Passing the ball along the back can be frustrating, but, let's be fair, long clearances up field are 50/50 balls and can go to either side.

He didn't bring him down (and get booked). I agree with that. He should have.

Wickham is a player who I wouldn't complain if he was in our squad. Would you?

Aside from one incident that I can remember he was better today than he has been recently.
