    Thanks to #StormCaira BA flight BA112 travelled from New York to London overnight in just 4hrs 56mins. I believe this is a new subsonic transatlantic flight record.

    Yeh I think I saw somewhere it averaged about 720 mph :eek:

    That guy is proper annoying! Sounds like Austin Powers half the time!

    Can't imagine how scary it must be trying to put a plane down in that. Fair play to them. I would absolutely **** myself.

    It was some storm - I drove back from France yesterday - fortunately had booked the tunnel - but about 15 miles outside Calais a particularly strong gust ripped the trim thats on the drivers side of the windscreen clean off - never had anything like that happen before. Car is only 18 months old so hopefully just a warranty repair
