For me to splash another 1k on season tickets next season, I need the club/owners to come out with a statement//explanation on how things have gone so wrong both on it (results etc) and off it (the silence is deafening). We deserve better and need transparency; the lack of communication this year has been appalling, totally opposite to Ganaye and Mansford, whatever you thought of what was said by these two, at least you had something to listen/reflect and form an opinion of. This for me is my bigger frustration, the lads on the pitch are simply not good enough but I do believe they are trying their best. The standard off the pitch is far worse!

The problem is in my opinion this isn't Barnsley football club. This is nothing more than a Chinese based investment company that happens to trade on grove Street.

As I said elsewhere - other than the fact the players wear red and white and play their home games at Oakwell there is very much a disconnect between the Club and the Town. Absentee foreign owners, a foreign CEO, a foreign head coach and not one Barnsley born lad getting a regular start for the First Team. If I don't renew my season ticket I'll most likely be watching the U18s and the U23s where there is more of a local input.

I started going in 1960/61 season and was totally smitten from the start, over the years there have been some massive highs and massive lows. But the current state of affairs has to be the very worst of times. I now live too far away to get to Oakwell regular or inded occasionally. If I was still there I would consider taking a look at Harrogate or Halifax both in the conference. Also both have a shout of getting into L2 this season.

But they're not our local team. If anything I'd have to go non league and Athersley rec or the like.

I think my support is almost unconditional. I have been visiting Oakwell for 57 years, If I stopped going int would be down to old age or worse.

I think I am going to knock most of the away games on the head.

And I don't want to go to the home ones after last night. Disgusting weather, disgusting defending, negligent owners - but I always end up renewing my season ticket.

I will most likely renew as I'll be optimistic for next season, play offs at worst. But we need to knock the austrian signings on head and get some English players in young ones from league one and 2 for example that scmodics who us on loan at posh from bristol would be a good signing. The likes of anderson, bahre, radlinger just arent what we need for league one and I'm not sure struber is.

I get what you are saying RH my point was that footy on a saturday is a drug ... I was in the Armed forces for over 30 years adn would go watch the sides local to wherever I was based.... England, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Cyprus..... and even on a long detachment to Gibraltar I took in a few games. Sad thing is is that the current regime at Oakwell are squeezing the life out of the fans and the club, and it hurts. And they compound this with the insult of remaining totally silent, that is really bad manners towards a set of fans who are totally behind the club on the whole, they will lose a huge amount if the keep this nonsense up.
