Ninety minute Mike. Played his part really well today, they all did. To be honest we tore them apart at the back second half, we could honestly have had 6 or 7. Their back line was ludicrously bad. Lost count of how many times Chaplin was clean through on the left.
Good to hear. Consistency is, as for most of our squad the big problem for Bahre. But I'm pleased to hear he did well today.
He was great....hes a footballer and it was a great day for him. Im one of his biggest fans but he doesnt always help himself. Great link play plus great balls up to front lads today, put a shift in too.
....Lost count of how many times Chaplin was clean through on the left.
Reminded me of Barnard against Spurs in the cup replay in ‘98. He was just stood on the left time after time, completely unmarked, with half the ground pointing at him.
Other players will get the plaudits and that's fine, but I thought his performance today was great. His natural talent for me exceeds the rest of the squad - we all know it doesn't translate into great performances - but today his close control in that congested midfield area and his overall work-rate was impressive.
Nearly forgot!! He also put through 2 maybe 3 passes thas split their defence and gave our strikers shots on goal.
I only saw the second half but he was excellent, put the kind of performance in that reflects his talent. Just hope he can find some consistency
Made more tackles than anyone else on the pitch and an assist, plus our best passer of the ball. He just needs, along with the others, more consistency.
