Loan Round-Up Club News It was another eventful weekend of football in the English Football League, with several of our loan players in action up and down the country. Continue reading on the official site...
As much as I like these 2, I reckon their days in a Barnsley shirt are over. McGeehan is out of contract in the summer and after having only really 1 good season with us along with injuries and 2 loan spells, he’ll want to leave for more match time. Wilks has the talent and ability but his attitude is awful and after only being here 6 months then being loaned out to me, shows he has no future so I would assume Hull agreed a future fee with us for the summer. The way he’s started with them I’d imagine he’ll join them permanently.
I agree with you. Just think they both would play a massive part in our L1 team. But like you say, can’t see them pulling the red shirt on agen
Whats was wilks attitude? Is it the same sources as cavare? At the end of the day we signed a player with alot going on off the field, obviously we expected him to hit the ground running and it didnt happen. Wev seen what he can do in league 1 so i think we would be stupid to get rid. Him or schmidt, i know who id prefer off the bench.
It was the same attitude that Mowatt had too. I reckon it's ballax as well. If Woodrow leaves someone who is a proven goal scorer in League 1 wh ois strong and quick might come in handy.
Cameron signed a two year contract last summer...... https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2019/june/mcgeehan2021/ Next season in league one both of them should be excellent guys to have in our team as both are very much proven at that level.
Will clubs bide their time with respect to Woodrow, Chaplin? They both have long term contracts. This may put off potential bidders unless it's a club that can afford to pay daft money.
I think any of the promoted teams would pay the money plus any teams there already who are having problems scoring goals or have injuries to their strikers. Sunderland for example are always moaning about lack of a good striker. We wont demand top dollar as usual so I would imagine they could afford him. I hope you're right though, we need him.
